I did have Cyberghost VPN last year and their Windows software is really good, but couldn't get it working on DD-WRT. I did get VPN Unlimited working on DD-WRT (it counts as one device from the five limit), but it lost connection after a while and doesn't auto-reconnect and is awkward if you ever want to change servers. The apps work far better for VPN Unlimited.

When connected to Cyberghost VPN, whatismyipaddress.com does not identify it as a VPN or Proxy on most of the servers. In comparison, VPN Unlimited seems to always get identified as "Suspected Network Sharing Device".

Will be interested to hear comments from PureVPN users or people who have done more comparisons on VPNs than I have. 120mb is actually very impressive on a vpn! Mines only a 50mb connection so I cannot comment on whether it would give you near full on 200mb. I'd say I doubt it.

Been using this for months. Does the job. They have some servers that give almost full connection speeds, but also some that do not by any stretch.

Been looking at this vpn, I used to have cyberghost which I got on well with,, then after sub run out I tried PIA,, but it didn't play well with WiFi,kept knocking it off and for me seemed to have to enter alot of captchas on some torrent sites.

So anyone noticed having to enter capchas on sites with pure?

doesn't seem to work for me. From the article it seems I have to add static routs to my router which I can't do with mine. Is that how you use it or do you use the vpn service? Maybe that will work but they don't let you test it on the free trial unfortunately

I have an old router that I think I can change the dns settings for. Would I be able to connect this to my main router somehow and have it act as a second access point. So I could get normal netflix on the main router but different on the second? or will it not work like that?

Yes it does - intermittently. One of the better ones... problem is netflix keep chasing the VPSs and shutting down the work arounds. So depends how good the VPN is at fixing issues and getflix seems one of the better ones. Works great with region TV channels.

I wouldn't bother. there DNS service centre gets flagged regularly which leads to service failure. I got the deal last year and just gave up on it. there's also no ability to set dynamic DNS for multiple apps and locations. customer service is slow as hell . get Getflix. much better. much cheaper but most of all reliable.

I see now they have blocked some data centres, however no problems here using netflix US as we speak. I used to be with PIA such a rip off compared to alternatives, would highly recommend ironsocket you get far, far more for your money and there cheaper if you find discount codes

Glad it is working for you. I have it installed on two Android boxes as well as a PC, one thing I forgot to mention is that you can do the basics using an Android box remote. Obviously going through the menu to change servers is easier with a mouse, but you can connect/disconnect easily with remote. That is one failing I had with Cyberghost, you really needed a mouse. Also, the Android app seems to automatically disable IPv6, meaning whatismyipaddress.com sees only the VPN IPv4 address. Cyberghost free version for Android does not (Premium probably does as you get more options) so it is pretty useless really for Android as websites can still see your real IPv6 address.

Netflix have not blocked vpns at all they have systems in place to block smartdns through their apps (as in smart TV app, xbox) but they can not detect VPN used through users watching directly from the website.
