does this work with Harmony remote?

would there be a way for 2 sets of these to work in fair close proximity without #1 on set 1 turning off #2 on set 2 and so on? ie changing channel or whatever

But do they work out of mind?

Do these remotes have to be in "line of sight" to work. Or could I put them behind a unit that I can't reach the plug that easily?

Got mine today. so awesome for turning the heater on before I get up in morning. Im gonna use another for the kettle to go on too. So many uses.

hmmm I hope not when the product comes then, as the description specifies 13A. Don't fancy plugging my HTPC, AVR, Subs and so on into it if not, and would be returning is wrong goods received

hmm well order is "complete", and no way to cancel, CPC have acknowledged here that they're mis advertising this as 13A but as of right now, they are knowingly mis-selling advertising these some 8hrs later still showing as 13A.

Say for example you have a laptop charger which has a black brick between the wall and the charging port, that is converting ac power to dc power and they are the worst offenders. Some of them chargers can use almost as much not charging as they do actually charging.

You may notice some chargers getting warm? Rule of thumb.. If it's warm it's wasting £££

The manual (which is in a link on the product description) states 12v dc, does not say more.. But being 12v dc it, and the fact it is a basic wireless transmitter it won't be very much at all.

depends on the charger. Some yes. If it has any bulky part/part which gets warm when doing nothing, its still drawing power.

I could live with them only being 10 amps, but it's a Shame these things use a23 battery's, and don't have power buttons on the plugs.

These things are great, if you use them to kill plugs every day, they will pay for themselves in a matter of a few months!

Consider that a single tablet charger left on permanently over the course of a year will cost £12.00 to run in standby, just that one item will pay off this set of plugs!

Is it too hard to get up and turn the switch off?

One thing to bear in mind , it can be useful to be able to turn these on and off when one can't find the remote . Some have buttons on the socket I am not sure that these do , because if you lose the remote temporarily one has to grovel about in some dusty corner , to manually unplug and plug directly in or vice versa

Good price, but what a totally random way to lay out the remote!
