Mine arrived Sunday so very happy, it's much better than I thought it would be. Really enjoy it, everyone I have shown it to so far has been amazed by it and touch wood nobody has felt sick using it yet. Highly recommend!

More than they are telling me, they keep saying soon they will update me. I have the one on order from game who reckon they will have stock the end of this month, know I will pay more but hopefully will get it. Amazon have let us down on this one.

18 Nov 16#60
Yeah I think we are just being fobbed off at the minute, the only saving grace is that Amazon don't charge until dispatch, I have seen that Game are saying they should have stock the end of this month so have hedged my bets and ordered one from there as well, I am thinking though that at this point I am very unlikely to get a PSVR from either this year.

17 Nov 161#59
thanks for your reply my order was shortly after that so i'm hoping mine won't be too long after yours whenever that is. I have been told by Amazon CS that i should get my delivery shortly but i think thats just a holding statement until they know what sony are sending them if any.

29/10/16, think I was late on ordering but it still said delivery between 15th & 16th. Looks like a few of us are left waiting with no real update.

I haven't had an update on estimated delivery yet.
Jon81 to Jon81
17 Nov 161#56
I spoke with them and was told to wait 1 - 3 days while they look into it, I don't think I will be seeing the PSVR from amazon until 2017 though, they said: -
"When an item is listed as "Temporarily out of stock. Order now and we will deliver when available" this indicates that the item ordered is a little more difficult to source from our suppliers, so we can’t predict how long it’ll take to arrive. After you place your order, we'll do everything we can to get the item for you."
I said I appreciate that if I were to order the item now with that stock status, but when I ordered and had confirmation delivery estimate Arriving Tuesday, November 15 - Wednesday, November 16 then that's what I expect. I ordered the camera extension cable which was supposed to arrive on the 9th too but that is now out of stock with no new estimated delivery date!

hmmm i contacted amazon earlier this week regarding my order still haven't been contacted by the department that is dealing with my query. Did contact amazon CS today if there was an update and was told that they were getting stock soon and it would delivered shortly. After reading the last few comments assume thats hogwash then lol i might as well cancel if its not delivered this month.

To be fair, if another retailer had been cheaper, you would have loyally bought it elsewhere.
Denziloshamen to Splashmo
29 Oct 16#42
Not for launch day delivery I wouldn't. And everyone was the same price two weeks ago anyway. Plus, my pre order was placed in March as I wanted to make sure I had it on day one, I wouldn't be willing to risk not getting it by jumping ship and paint less elsewhere at such a late stage.
Good deal for those who are more patient and can sit back and wait to see how things pan out.
Denziloshamen
29 Oct 161#41
Used to make perfect sense as it was Amazon policy to refund the difference within 30 days of buying. They apparently dropped the policy earlier this year.
And as for "piece of crap add on", I'm guessing you don't have one or have not taken the time to test one out properly.
Ianm
29 Oct 16#40
aliwoo is correct in what he said, you will get a demo disc of vr titles included plus a load of free stuff (playroom vr) etc to download which is very good .
It's worth mentioning that non vr games appear on a 226" screen which although is at a lover resolution is still really impressive....
Denziloshamen
29 Oct 16#35
Shame Amazon won't refund the difference anymore for those that loyally pre ordered and paid full price just two weeks ago. I expected price drops in the future, but within two weeks of launch is a bit much.
BrainCheck to Denziloshamen
29 Oct 16#38
That makes no sense
People who preorder are not buying because it's cheap. Or they would wait.
This lump of crap add on will be so much cheaper when they start packaging it all together.

This might be a silly question as I'm not overly clued up on all this gaming stuff but do you need to buy games that specifically are for vr only or can any ps4 games be played on it? Thinking of getting this for the OH for xmas as he loves his gaming.
Aliwoo18 to Feline31
29 Oct 16#31
My understanding is that to get the VR experience you need games made specifically for it, but you can also use it instead of a TV screen for movies or non-VR games (other people please feel free to correct me as I've not actually used one yet).

You need the camera otherwise you can't use it but the move controllers are usually optional. I am waiting for the price of move controllers to come down. I've not played much on it as I've had a busy few weeks but Until Dawn rush of blood has entertained me.

I pre-ordered in March at full retail £349 for my son. He got it on 13th Oct and has used it nearly every day since. I would definitely recommend it - you won't be disappointed. Is now the right time to buy? Not sure - but I doubt we will see significant further price drops until after Xmas.
Keep in mind that you need the PS4 (not PS3) camera (£40) and optionally 2 move controllers (£69 new - i got 2 from CEX in Sept for £15 each).
Snakeyes646 to dbno
29 Oct 161#9
Them ps move controllers have shot up to £40 in cex now
lukey52 to dbno
29 Oct 161#13
It's hard to say if now is the time to buy in. A lot of the early games are likely going to drop very heavily in cost given a few months. Also the move controllers are obviously very expensive due to demand but should also see a significant cut once most people who need them have them.
I might be being tight but paying £20+ for these psn games quickly adds up as well.
I think unless you really can't live without waiting a few months is better, maybe get a vr headset, camera, controller bundle (which I still think is criminal we didn't get), get some of the games on psn sales etc.
FYI for those who doubt this still. My mum who is in no way a gamer at all tried job simulator and after about 20 minutes explaining how to use the move controller... spent about 2 hours on it, couldn't get her off. She was blown away by it. Seriously if anyone you know is doubting it you have got to get them to actually try it. Just keep in mind that if it's a family member you might end up fighting over who uses it lol
Snakeyes646
29 Oct 16#11
That's just a placeholder surely? Won't be any at stock at that price as all the PS3 controllers went up to £40.
