It was the same with the 3DS - not suitable for under-12s.
To be honest I'm not sure the headset would fit an under-12 very well anyway.

Why on earth do they say the VR headset can't be used by the under 12s?

Because kids eye sight still "learning" and is not fully developed. Playing so close to the lenses can cause short sightning therefore warnings for the games

Here's any idea, try and buy the PS3 starter pack which has the camera disc and one controller used.
It works out cheaper than buying the controller used separately.

Value means working but in poor condition. I can't believe the price is now up to £40, when I looked on the 1st October they were selling for £15 but was able to get a pair off eBay for £20 for both instead.
Anyone played it yet?
Looks like fun but could be short-lived.

Jeezaz - I picked mine up for £10 a piece for the PS3 many moons ago...
It's as if someone said the word "wedding" when they make these prices up!

Reading 'Pixel Gear VR' I thought this was Google's version of Samsung's Gear VR for its Pixel phones.

They still have one of these left in Guildford though I haven't got a clue of the condition. £3 https://uk.webuy.com/product.php?sku=SPS3MOVEVAL003#.WAjlJegrL-g
