i have been in two minds about these for ages, prompted by me getting a free nest protect from the john lewis insurance deal (not arrived yet)
i'm driven to buy i think by the geek in me, but can see potential savings too.
anyone have one and care to express a real opinion?

Not sure if anyone else has experienced similar.
I got a message from DPD on Friday saying that a package from Media Group (im assuming it's npower and the nest) would be delivered on Monday.
And then today, a further bemail saying it's been delayed and DPD haven't yet received it.
Has anyone had similar occur?

Yes thats exactly what happend to me today, in my experience and from the couple of calls I made this morning its down to the incompetency of DPD, and its likely the device will arrive some point this week. On a positive note it gave me time today to finish all the new wiring I needed for my particular self-install.

This worked a treat! I managed to find an old nPower account that I had inherited when moving into a new property 2 years ago.. it has been dormant for 2 years. It was under the name of 'The Occupier'. I just ordered and set my delivery address accordingly. Thought I'd been rumbled because they contacted me, but all they wanted was my name and address to update the account. Arrived quickly after that! HOT!

Yes I received the nest (pretty prompt comms from dpd) . I've since decided I'm going to go with British gas tho and get a hive instead!

i was also worried it wasn't going to arrive as they took the payment and it sat in my npower account for a few days with no communication from them. Once I had the dpd message it arrived the next day. Good luck with the install!

Thanks for leting me know, lets see what happens. In a nerdy way I was quite excited to get my hands on the Nest and do a DIY install, I guess I should be patient and see what NPower decide to do with my order.

Hi - did you Nest ever arrive? how long did it take? and did you get an e-mail confirming your order details? I ordered today and I received no e-mail, and it looks like they have simply put the £129 into my NPower account even though I left them in 2013... I dont expect to see the Nest, and will probably struggle to get a refund.

I'm a 2015 customer and tried to buy this today. I had website problems using Google Chrome so I switch to Internet Explorer and the order went through. However I didn't yet receive any conformation e-mail, its been about 3 hours since placing the order. Did you guys get a confirmation e-mail immediately? I also noticed that in my old NPower account I now see a credit of £129, possibly suggesting the order didn't go through and they've just shoved the money into their account. I'll wait until tomorrow and if the order hasn't processed I'll see how I can get my money back, and look elsewhere for a Nest deal.

hi, this is exactly what happened with mine. I only had a payment confirmation email. The next thing I received was one from dpd telling me I would be having a delivery. I ordered mine on a Saturday morning and didn't hear anything until Tuesday

hi, just wondering how long it look them to process your order? I am an old customer and it processed the order Saturday morning, but haven't had anything since the confirm email. they have taken the money and it shows on the npower account (despite showing as closed). Thanks

I had no other confirmation other than a delivery notification a couple of days later. Its a good sign if the payment has been processed.

Mine turned up about 3 days later but I had no other communication from NPower, just a text from dpd (MediaGroup) to say when it was going to be delivered.

To get round this, from this error page click the NPower logo. Then click "Save Energy". Then "Energy efficiency products". And lastly "Nest Learning Thermostat". Start order, add to basket. Checkout.
