I'm hoping I have better luck with this next batch, got 1 as a test unit and initially seemed good ( did all the firmware updates) then kodi kept crashing thought I had solved by putting another build on but still crashing . Been advised to put spmc on and run that, will do tomorrow and hopefully it won't crash

I've had mine since around May (Beelink Mini MXIII - there's now a Beelink Mini MXIII II), as well as my niece, no problems.
There is the odd crash but nothing that bad. I have found that my niece's touchpad/keyboard device has stopped working (bought separately) - it lights up and supposedly "connects" to the dongle but nothing happens on-screen. Tried changing the receiver dongle, battery - my own touchpad/keyboard works with her box so I think the dongle has simply died.
She got her Mini MXIII a month or so after me so that's only about 3-4 months use for that keyboard/touchpad - pretty poor.

I brought a box from gearbest a few weeks back and had an issue with stability as it was crashing every 20-30 mins. i contacted them and they were great. got me to try a few things to fix it which didnt work so they offered me full refund, or a credit voucher for the full price i paid+ about £3 worth of points and told me to keep the faulty box.

I'm not sure where you can find 4K content except maybe torrent sites to make the most of this. I didn't think Kodi had any.

26 Oct 161#67
For what my opinion is worth; dont bother with these android boxes; they built with no real shelf-life in mind and fail so often I've lost count. I've bought these over the firestick and they are glitchy as hell and not worth the hassle; if you want 4k get the fire tv which is more yes but it will last and the experience is smoother and glitch free at least.

Strangely the Nexbox A95X works with a USB Xbox 360 controller (nige182 confirmed on another thread a week or so ago) - the Beelink Mini MXIII doesn't.. Wonder if this one will too.

I've had several of these exact boxes now. I got one, family and friends saw it and also wanted one. The longest one took 9 days, can't fault them. They're fast and once you have the right kodi build on it it is all you need in terms of television.

Had a few of these boxes now although only used for KODI. Very good. I've not had any buggy problems with the OS but the WiFi is useless. Fine if your using the ethernet connection. Remote is decent.

Owned and setup quite a few of these and similar boxes now, all from China, all delivered in less than 2 weeks usually. I've not had the cause to use customer services yet so I can't comment on that but the price/dispatch time was excellent imo.
I've had no problem with Android 6 but I do increasingly find that the add-ons for Kodi are drying up... so be warned! Currently down to just 2; Exodus and SportsDevil. If anyone has any other recommendations, please feel free to list :smirk:
As a Plex box, these are fantastic. Wireless connectivity on these internal aerial boxes is awful though, something to be aware of. You either need a very good router/ap or a wifi extender in close proximity. I ended up buying a £15 Netgear one and its been fantastic, completely seamless 1080p streaming online and from Plex, no issue.

Does anyone know of a box similar to this one but that has a blu-ray drive in it? For the most part I stream from a NAS, but every so often we like to have the option of putting a disc in and just watching.
We currently have a blu ray player that has DLNA capability but its a bit out of date and is struggling with the newer codecs (particularly some of the audio ones).

Beepcake to tezray
26 Oct 161#33
Passthrough on these boxes (with Kodi at least) is hit and miss at best - it would be great if they could finally sort it, but it seems to pot luck whether you can actually get a combination of hardware, driver, kernel and kodi version that actually works and doesn't cause any other issues (like pausing video).

There both 2gb ram the only difference is the storage size. I too paid fiver more and ordered from amazon these boxes support usb and memory card so memory isnt an issue as much as warranty and customer service not to mention the customs issues ive had in the past and if you want to play 4k video 16gb is nothing.
