Thanks, booked for a naughty night away with my girlfriend.
Got to take the wife to a Travelodge first though!

for the love of God don't stay at the Glasgow one!
we went last month for 2 nights & it was awful. basic room that doesn't warrant the high prices & the worst part was we couldn't get any sleep due to the constant noise of boy racers (something the hotel, council & police have been aware of for 9 years!) which started at 7pm & ended at 5am!

With regards to food. Watch out for hidden costs. Steak sauces. Sides etc. Me and the wife have done this at Edinburgh and Newcastle. We tried to spend it on the bar but you have to buy a meal. Eat something and take drinks to the bar. Bottle of Wine, bucket of beer...

Seems a very good deal considering the quality of the Liverpool Hotel I stayed at last Christmas.

Booked for Birmingham in December. I took the standard room but opted for the room upgrade "stand by" for a possible £16 extra. Won't get charged that unless the room is upgraded on check-in so seemed worth it.

I used this offer to stay in Edinburgh this Sunday just gone .
The restaurant food was very poor, it spoiled what we was hoping to be a very good evening.

Malmaison special offers are a mine field of unavailable dates and locations. I have used them a few times and got a reasonable deal.

In the Newcastle one it's only £40 on a Sunday anyway. I'd rather pay that and have £60 to spend elsewhere.

Cheers OP, this looks a good deal. Appreciate the comments on food quality but £100 for a night away in a decent hotel with a meal is pretty good to me.

I did this a few months ago in Brighton. On the surface it seems like a decent deal, but the food was so overpriced and the service so poor that I'd recommend steering well clear.

Is it okay to go on my own, spend £75 on drink, and then sleep it off ?

Did this last Sunday at Mal Oxford. It's a very good deal, it's also very easy to spend over £100 in the restaurant!
