It’s 1968 and after years of combat in Vietnam, Lincoln Clay knows this truth: family isn’t who you’re born with, it’s who you die for. Now back home in New Bordeaux, Lincoln is set on escaping a criminal past. But when his surrogate family, the black mob, is betrayed and wiped out by the Italian Mafia, Lincoln builds a new family on the ashes of the old and blazes a path of military-grade revenge through those responsible. Intense gun fights, visceral hand-to-hand combat, white knuckle driving and street smarts will all be needed. But with the right crew, tough decisions and some dirty hands, it’s possible to make it to the top of the city's underworld.
NEW BORDEAUX, A REIMAGINED 1968 NEW ORLEANS:
A vast, diverse and seedy open world ruled by the mob and corrupt officials and richly detailed with the sights, sounds and emotionally-charged social atmosphere of the era.
AN UNINTENDED AND LETHAL ANTI-HERO:
Be Lincoln Clay, an orphan and Vietnam veteran hell bent on revenge against the Italian Mafia for the brutal slaughter of the black mob, the closest thing to family he’s ever had.
REVENGE YOUR WAY:
Choose your own personal play-style, from brute force and blazing guns to stalk-and-kill tactics as you use Lincoln’s military training and gathered intel to tear down the Italian Mafia.
A NEW FAMILY ON THE ASHES OF THE OLD:
Build a new criminal empire in your own unique way by deciding which of your lieutenants you reward, and which you betray

I'm not talking about this deal, I'm talking about day 1 release prices of £30+ for broken mess of games
There's literally no way most of the bugs could be missed in testing they're that bad but game devs are like "sod it, we'll patch it later" it's the only industry where you can get away with selling unfinished and broken products

Which was unfair on Mad Max because that was a cracking game.......especially on PC.
Damn, you just beat me to it, BTW buddy, theres a code: 'MAFIA777' to get 7.77% off
Should be about £18.44

In what way? Loads of bugs? Or something else like the gameplay not well thought through? If it's really buggy then I'll wait to buy once they've fixed it.

Yep. Disappointing sequel.
The third Mafia game should have been much better.

Abysmal performance on my 980ti, doesn't even look that spectacular. How are 1080 owners finding it? Pirated it before wasting money, so glad as I uninstalled within an hour.

I can't speak for PC, but on Xbox one, it would crash a fair bit and a tad buggy like when I called for the 'Italian muscle' they'd get stuck on things a lot etc

Got the piratebay deal earlier on, but this seem fairly what the game is worth, I have completed it now and it has been fun for the first 50% but then the repetition was painful.

You name it - not starting, crashes, poor AI, poor framerates, repetitive sub-missions (ok, just play the story!), poor textures, cropping,... Cut-scenes and voice acting is very good. Waiting for patches... http://steamcommunity.com/app/360430/discussions/0/

ok game may be dissapointing and repetitive but it's worth this price for the unique setting alone, I was planning to get it when it drops below £15 mark but 3.44 is not a big deal so I got it. I will carry on playing GOW 4 and this and wait for BF1 to drop in price. Great find OP.

I agree, I think it'll most likely align with the price drops that we saw from Just Cause 3 and Arkham Knight (both extremely hyped games with poor releases, and poor support in the following weeks). If the devs can somehow fix up the majority of the issues, it probably won't drop too badly. If not, I expect this'll be close to a tenner in about 4 months.

Yeah it's pretty sad that in 2016 developers are still happy to release utter crap and expect people to pay top dollar for it.

Let's be serious here. £18 is not "top dollar".
COD retails for £40+ each time. Same with EA games. But it's true that devs are churning out rubbish these days.

it will go down on christmas or there will be ways of getting it cheaper, mexico + vpn + origin. i am not paying more than 27.99 for it. if people stop hyping themselves and stop buying at this extorcious price it will go down.
Looks really good, as it gets rid of all the blurriness too
The only problem is the frequent crashes to desktop - had 2 in an hour last time I played, but can go 3-4 hours without one.

Lets be fair eh, Arkham Knight was a broken mess of a release.
Mafia 3, while boring and repetitive is far from broken. It was a bit buggy and the framerate was capped at 30fps but has since been resolved.
The game as I said does get tedious but I just play every now and then for an hour as the actual story behind the grind is quite good.

this is why you never pre-order. cdkeys obviously bought mountains of keys and none of them sold so they're trying to claw back some cash. another over hyped disappointment (watch dogs, the division, no man's sky etc etc).

After the latest patch I've had very few issues with the game on Xbox One other than a couple of enemies caught in the scenery when they've died (which is more funny than game breaking). Story was great though the game does get very repetitive after a while. Lots of work by the devs being done so I reckon it's worth it at this price.

Three weeks ago before the patches, though. Not excusing the poor release but it's a lot better now.
