Still not played this, it's on my Boomerang rental list, but for £8 it might be worth a pop.
Same price for PS3 too.

FYI this only covers episodes 2-5 you need to download episode 1 separately (which is free at the moment)

Season passes just baffle me. Are you buying the game or are you not buying the game? Why didn't you sell season 1 too? Is there a season 6? Can you jump straight into season 3 without paying the previous seasons? Is the game complete yet? So what am I buying here? All these questions and more can be easily eradicated if you just sold a game to the people. We're moving around a character & clicking on buttons, not watching Breaking Bad there.

there is only one season. you but the pass to get all the episodes (with 1 being free to try). Episodic development can be beneficial to the developing studios, as they bring in constant stream of income, for gamers it allows studios to tweak out game play on feedback. smaller regular downloads.
OP, thanks was waiting for this to drop. would have preferred retail but even 2nd user are pricey.

Defiantly worth buying, I bought it in the Xbox summer sale, and it's one of the best games I've played, more than worth what I paid for it

I also quite like how the game is split into chunks. I usually wait for the whole season to come out before playing, but I like knowing if I only have a couple of hours to play a game, that I can complete and episode and feel like I have started/finished something (rather than 2 hours not making a dent on a game like Fallout).

A season pass actually makes very logical sense for episodic games. Sure you're buying access to the whole set of episodes that will release for that game for that season, normally at a cheaper price than buying them separately.
Life is Strange was pretty good. An experience with its own vibe, some interesting reveals and developments as the story progresses. Nice to see a protagonist that doesn't resort to violence to progress through the game/her journey.

Have liked the episode approach to Hitman as well as been able to pick and choose the good ones from the crap ones

Really enjoyed this on the PC - considering PS4 at this price.. for a carefree playthrough
The premise is a blatant rip-off of The Butterfly Effect but the story is fresh and compelling with a style of it's own

I said it before and I'll say it again. If you enjoyed Heavy Rain, buy this game right now.
It's a fantastic experience that shouldn't be missed.

I only played the demo a few weeks ago and thought it was amazing and i'm not usually a fan of games that focus on story. I thought the game would just be a cringefest judging by the cover but I loved every sec of the demo. Bought.

I can only echo what has been said above. I bought the PS4 limited expecting to sell it used after completing it. Now there's no way I can bring myself to sell it. I just lend it to all my mates so they too can experience the game (interactive movie). Buy it if you don't own it, you'll not regret it

I'm on my first play through of this at the moment as it happens. Just started episode 3 and still waiting for it to take off. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying it, just not as much as I'd hoped. Does it pick up from episode 3 onwards?

No question about it, definitely worth £8. The developers deserve it.

Great game but episode 5 was the weakest of the lot.

Whereas I think that it *might* be my 2nd favourite episode because, as much as there is nothing else really like the game as a whole, there is *really* nothing else like episode 5. This episode was a work of art.

how long is a season? when does next season start? is it year after the game is downloaded?

does the game stop working after the season or is it still playable but not any new content?
I'm confused by season passes too.

Buying the season pass now just buys you the whole game to keep forever as long as psn exists.
Buying it while the episodes are still waiting to be published is the same, its just a cheaper way to buy the whole lot in advance rather than chapter by chapter.
Given that the game is now fully published ie all chapters available, you get the whole game for £7.99.
