if anyone is looking for a mid-priced touchscreen 2 in 1, I can't find much better at this price from most other manufacturers. Has an i7 6th gen processor, 8gb DDR4 ram, 256gb SSD and a discrete AMD r5-m430 2gb GPU.
1920x1080 14 inch screen with 2x USB 3.0 and one HDMI (and a 3.5mm Jack for headphones )
They are quoting battery life of over 8 hours which I'll admit looks optimistic given the spec. look a a decent buy over the i5 128gb version which is priced at £599.
Currys offer ends 31st October 16.

Interesting-looking laptop. Is that 3 screens or 5? Why would a machine need multiple screens like that?

599 a bargain. runs Fifa17 and BF4 at a decent frame rate without being on the lowest settings.

I have a FHD 15.6 HP work laptop which can sometimes be difficult for me to read text without zooming in at the grand old age of 28, I imagine everything will be miniscule on a 14" screen?!

Then you need to adjust the DPI within Windows.

tbh I'm not a tech savvy, but I could tell a big difference in colour accuracy of the displays. 710 has deeper blacks and saturated colours where as 510 had comparatively washed out colours and not so deep blacks. not to mention with the almost bezel less screen on 710 it looks much better.
All that being said the 510 has a perfectly okay screen. I just think it would be good to by the nicer screen since you are going to be staring at it for the next few years.

Pay more and buy it anywhere other than this DIRE company. An easy way to prove this try to get any response from customer services regarding anything at all. also customer service numbers should be free!!

if you don't mind spending roughly a £100 more, I highly recommend getting yoga 710 instead of this. it has a much better screen and the build quality is a little better, has a smaller footprint and a tad lighter. if you are okay with a mediocre screen, go with this. spec-wise they are pretty much the same(depends on the config)

whats the difference between screens? I was looking at them side by side and couldn't see the difference. both are 1920x1080 too

It looks as if that refurbished deal may not come with the Radeon graphics card either. That appears to be an added option only - certainly with the upgraded 710 series.

Thats a refurbished model. Im not sure how Lenovo differentiates between their 500 series and 700 series models as it seems there's little between them.
this seems a much cheaper deal for almost the same computer

If reserving and collecting, it'll be taken off that price at the till. Mine showed as £699 then paid £629 in store. I went through Quidco for a further 1% off.

so is the fan issue a problem with all or is it hit and miss? I've bought one, not opened it yet but don't want a laptop which constantly buzzes with fan noise!

Do like the screen and finish of the yogas. However, have been put off by the well known (unresolved) issues of the fans which are constantly on.
