Has already been posted but still good deal. Purchased white one the other day and comes with 2GB ram not 1GB. I asked if they would give me £10 gift card but they said i had to spend £100 to qualify so they offered to charge me £100 instead of £99,99 for tablet which would allow me the £10 gift card. Obviously i accepted this.

I have been using this since the last Tesco deal when it was £120. It's good for watching TV, browsing web and using apps, but it not so good for gaming. I'm big into gaming, but I bought Hitman for 10p and find it tediously slow to load each game. Great for the size and price.

For the record I'm not anti-brexit just making the point in this forum which is about value for money that tech goods will increase in price in the future because of the value of sterling. We are going through a period of adjustment as existing stock of imported goods in the UK are depleted and replaced with new imported stock at a higher price.

Re post 137.
If you are a British importer then that is why you have banks and foreign exchange contracts to lock in your profit now, for buying x amount per Month in the future .
I'd sterling falls then that makes our exports more competitive. In the developing world like China we will always be able to buy more for the pound and any difference/increase will be negligible. However fuel/oil is in dollars so if we fall against the dollar we will notice fuel prices increase.
Brexit is the best thing that ever happened to this Country, when the 2 years take effect?_Unlike the Euro which is a ticking time bomb waiting to implode. One of the rules of finance is you cannot buck the market, which is the Evil EU will never suceed. As a side note solar panels are cheaper in China but we are not allowed to buy them because of the Evil EU wants the prices higher. Which is hypocrisy for the Greens but that is another debate.

Looking at the spec about 10,000 mips for cpu performance and 21.6 gflops gpu performance but you only have 1.5GB main memory.
Lenovo A10 30 is about 8,300 mips for cpu and the same 21.6 gflops for gpu performance
Lenovo A10 70 is 13,800 mips for cpu with 47.6 gflops gpu performance
ebay octacore tablet for reference is 24,300 mips for cpu and 44.8 gflops gpu performance. However battery life is inferior and 8 core cpu's are harder to get efficient use of.
My existing Finlux tablet which came free with a tv and I'm finding too slow is 7,600 mips and 22.4 gflops.
The Lenovo A10 70 tablet is the one to get , decent battery life and full hd display plus a good chipset including decent gpu performance. It's a premium spec without any real compromises.

My point is before if you looked at aliexpress and looked at the price of a UK importer price often you'd pay over the top to buy from the UK but you'd benefit from fast delivery and a full guarantee for 12 months. I bought a tablet from aliexpress for something like £48 that I could have got from ebay for about £75 from a UK importer about a year ago.
Now of course with aliexpress there is absolutely no delay in the exchange rate effecting you. You pay the exchange rate of the day.
If I'm a smaller uk importer and lets say order 500 tablets of which I sell 20 a week that's 25 weeks of stock or half a year before I'm hit with new exchange costs.
I just feel we are in for some adjustment in the new year and lets face it we haven't even started brexit yet and left Europe where sterling may drop further.

Re post 135. Aliexpress are like a Chinese eBay . It depends on the merchants who advertise. Some prices are expensive others cheap ,others are bargains .
Aliexpress are doing a flash sale over last several days , at different times of the day where they notify you of
the item you are interested in 10 mins before it becomes available. By which time you are in bed or missed it !
They have another offer of 90 per cent off items , but I have found nothing interesting . It is worth looking though . What I like about most of these Chinese offers is they include free shipping , as opposed to eBay where the P and P can make the product uneconomic .
I bought a memory card reader from China for 0.66 Euros delivered. You could only buy a stamp here for that.

Noticed something weird on Aliexpress which I have bought from before. It seems with the £ not buying as much as it did in the past many of their prices are much higher than previous to the point that many retailers in the UK with existing stock from past orders actually can seem as cheap if not cheaper. It's pretty clear into 2017 prices are going to increase. Unless aliexpress have increased prices because of their upcoming 11/11 sale day. Black Friday may be the last chance to get some serious tech bargains.

First time i installed it stalled when rebooting, just turn it off and power on again and it load ok.
After that the tablet would not startup. I rebooted again in this mode and then chose "wipe data/factory reset".
This is what i did as the update wipes the tablet clean anyway.

Thanks. I am on my 2nd tablet know as the other one was getting stuck at the boot screen.
The tablet directory appeared this time, and have transferred the file across. I am now applying the update from internal sdcard so fingers crossed it works this time.
If it still doesn't work you could try another usb cable as some are for power only not data transfer.
Final option put the file on an sd card and stick that in the tablet.

Been thinking about this as a comic reader.
Great deal but I'm always cautious of buying any for myself before Christmas.
I had a look around and it's not quite as good as the HUDL2 CPU on benchmarks, this also has 2GB. So see no point in getting it.
My old 10 inch tablets have 2GB and Tecra4 which according to benchmarks is still faster, just. Though can push the high DPI 10" screens, this processor cannot.
I don't think it's quite as fast or is pretty similar to the old Nexus 10 but with lower resolution. For anyone thinking about a new 10" or remembers them.
Still for 100 quid it's a nice 10" browser for everyday jobs.

Sorry ignore me for some reason some sites are stating a mediatek chipset in this tablet but going by Argos description it is a more capable qualcomm chipset at least for the gpu. what tablet would you recommend for £100?
bonzobanana
30 Oct 16#51
Ok so it looks like there is a 2GB version now of the 30 which didn't come up by googling which people are getting.
I personally don't think this is a particularly good deal because of the weak gpu performance. The tablet is definitely very budget in performance. It will get the job done but there are much more powerful tablets available for similar or less money. Hardly a bargain.
Bought Friday mine is 1.3ghz 32bit and 2GB any good?
bonzobanana
30 Oct 161#48
I think the difference is between Lenovo Tab 2 A10-30 and Tab 2 A10-70. It sounds like some people are getting a free upgrade to the much better model. The A10-70 is much more powerful, 2GB of memory and a full HD display which is an absolute bargain at £90 but the other is frankly not such a good deal.
Can anyone confirm they actually received the A10-70 instead of the A10-30?
A10-30 only has a mali 400mp2 gpu (hopeless) 3.6 glops
A10-70 has mali T760x2 which is 34 gflops (not cutting edge but almost 10x the power)
As you can imagine the 70 is capable of running many more apps and games well and the experience will be much better thanks to having faster quad core 64bit arm processors not 32bit in addition to the much better gpu and 2x the memory.

After that the tablet would not startup. I rebooted again in this mode and then chose "wipe data/factory reset".
This is what i did as the update wipes the tablet clean anyway.
The tablet directory appeared this time, and have transferred the file across. I am now applying the update from internal sdcard so fingers crossed it works this time.
If it still doesn't work you could try another usb cable as some are for power only not data transfer.
Final option put the file on an sd card and stick that in the tablet.
Thanks op just bought this.

If you set it up, load apps then upgrade it seems to be those people that suffer all kinds of horrible problems.
EDIT you have to go back in and factory reset and then it works thanks!

You can either wait till they fix it or download from the above link.
Im guessing as its about 1gb in size its a major android update.....is it faulty?.....is it worth getting it replaced ?

Bit cruddy if only 1GB ram. Probably worth 60 quid i'd say.
is there a way to flash manually using sp flash?
it's great for the price. Good picture / sound quality....
great for the kids.
hope this helps someone
Great deal but I'm always cautious of buying any for myself before Christmas.
Heat!

Just picked one up..bargain
Should be a decent enough replacement for my old N10
(easy to get as well, with easy warranty)
How does this current offer compare to the nice HUDL2 (other than being 10" over 8").
I personally don't think this is a particularly good deal because of the weak gpu performance. The tablet is definitely very budget in performance. It will get the job done but there are much more powerful tablets available for similar or less money. Hardly a bargain.

You can get the A10-70 from Tesco for £139
http://www.tesco.com/direct/lenovo-a2-a10-70-10-inch-tablet-16gb-white/671-1988.prd?skuId=671-1988&pageLevel=sku&sc_cmp=ppc_sh-_-sh-_-tesco-_-671-1988&gclid=CjwKEAjwtNbABRCsqO7J0_uJxWYSJAAiVo5LX3QX9OT6DGpJbPO849B2O0DSgCrbD-yNc45W-6ZIwxoCnsvw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds&source=others
So Argo's price for the 30 isn't amazing.
Very happy with them for the price
Very happy with them for the price .
also regarding the trade in scheme, is it just working tech? I have a Sony Z ultra that has a smashed screen.

Can anyone suggest which is better... this one or this Lenova Tablet at 109.99???

They seem similar but have a £10 price difference.

Hi there,
I have looked into this and can advise that this tablet has 1GB of RAM.
Thanks for using Argos Q&A.
