Not a bad price for a decently powerful budget laptop with an SSD.

Great find thanks op, above the image on the web page the option for 500GB SSD is the same price as 128. I can't see any other difference.

That's 500GB SSHD not SSD i.e. It's a spinning HD with a small amount of flash. It won't have anything like the performance of a pure ssd but of course it will give you a lot more storage.

Thanks OP, HDD a bit small but definitely a decently priced laptop!

Hot, can't grumble for the price and specs but someone will grumble that it's not Full HD or 500gb SSD drive

Spongy keyboard, sharp edges, poor screen, battery clips not holding battery properly. B50's look decent on paper but poorly built. Beware.

Completely agree. Much better off buying a Dell Latitude with an SSD off EBay for around £150. Or pick up one without an SSD for even cheaper and put an SSD in it yourself.

Just bought one of these for around same price from laptopsdirect (£20 off £200 when you sign up to which magazine for £1, then cancelled subscription straight away). OK laptop for what I need it for. Boots up in seconds, looks and feels very cheap tho as you would expect. Probably gonna have to get external hard drive.
for 6th gen i5 and 128gb sdd. seems like a good price

Can't believe laptops are still being flogged with 1366x768 screens. Its crap on a phone, let alone a 15" laptop.
Cue moaners "its £270"... You can buy one of my turds for only a quid, its still a turd.

What are the deliver costs on your turds? Quidco? Nectar points?

The way things are going, I think we'll see smartwatches with these specs before laptops at comparable prices.

Why?
And seeing as a 2tb SSD on it's own is about £500 - 700, not any time soon.
Get yourself a laptop with an SSD boot drive and bd/dvd rom (like this), then replace the optical drive (that you don't really need in 2016) with a caddy (like 281436889341 on ebay that probably fits this model) containing a ~ £55ish 2tb hdd to dump all the rubbish you should be putting on a nas instead.
Honestly, the only reason you need a big drive actually in the PC itself nowadays is for massively oversized game installs - and you're not gaming on this or any other sub £350 laptop.

i bought a laptop from them which went to bluescreen the first time I tried to use it and their customer service refused to refund or replace saying that they sold me hardware and it was a software problem and that's nothing to do with them when though the software came with the laptop

Absolutely fine, 999 times out of 1000. Not so WiFi / WWAN cards however, and m2 nmve into slots only wired for sata, but that's another story :P

You can probably get a optical bay to hdd converter/caddy and add in a mechanical storage drive, they seem to be going for about a fiver on ebay but it's from US or hong kong, I only checked for 30 secs so someone might be able to find a domestic version.

Would this be good for kids homework? Got a 10 and 11 year old and their homework is starting them to need to do research online. So thinking about a laptop for xmas.
They would want to be able to play some games (not the latest but playable ones from yesteryear that are available on steam). Also, hopefully the laptop would see them through the next 3 years to GCSEs writing essays etc.
Would this do for that? Or is it worth waiting for Black Friday.
Also would it play fm16 or 17? That would be for me to have a go but not that important if not (not played since fm2005).
Cheers

Looked up this company on Trust Pilot and they didn't have v good reviews.
BTShop have it at the same price and much better reviews on Trust Pilot so I'm hoping that in the event of any probs with the laptop it won't go too badly.
Years ago I swore to have nothing to do with BT ever again but you can't win em all.
