"A nice radio, a shame it doesn't work! A very nice looking alarm radio and a quality feel. Unfortunately, I've had to request a return and refund. As with many other reviewers the radio intermittently cuts out on all DAB channels. I live 3 miles from and in line of sight of the Crystal Palace transmitter so quality of signal is not an issue. Also, I tried it both on battery and mains but the issue remained. I have 3 other DAB radios in the house (2 Pure and a Roberts) and they all work fine, so I'm afraid this radio is a dud which is a shame.
The other issue is the buttons which work, at best, intermittently which is very annoying.
Sound quality on the other hand (given the cost and size of the radio) is very good.
So, disappointing , not a radio I can recommend. Better build quality and it would be great, especially for the price. As it stands, I'd rather pay an extra £10 or so for something that works!"

Thank you. Good advice. An unreliable alarm clock is as much use as a chocolate kettle.

Quite so, but I love chocolate and hot drinks, where can I get a chocolate kettle? - this seems to be the ultimate solution to my tea and chocolate addiction.
Nice radio but the reason they're getting rid of them is they are not DAB+. So you'll get a lot of stations but there's more available on a DAB+ radio.

Worth buying to rip out the board to try and connect to say a Raspberry Pi?
I bought this last time the deal was on here, and the sound quality is superb. When using the DAB setting though the channel changes everytime its turned off, and this is no good for my mother who cant work out what to press to get it back onto Radio 2.

If you have it as a preset, I reckon it will, on switchon, go back to first preset. That might help.

Recently bought a K.Sound radio, works a treat. This is great value for a DAB radio and an alarm clock!! HEAT!!

The review said nothing about the alarm clock, only the intermittent DAB reception.

I have one. Got it for £4.99 if memory serves me right. Just gave it to a charity shop. The time is too bright to sleep with. The alarm is too loud, no way to change it. Most awful alarm clock I've ever owned!

I bought one but returned it due to poor reception on both DAB and FM. The company said that they would send a replacement but it has not arrived yet. Conclusion - spend a little more for better quality.
