Be aware that they lose their stickiness pretty quick! My phone fell off mine mid-drive after a few uses:(

Unfortunately they are going to get dusty on your dashboard or windscreen (even in a few days). They can be restored by washing them in tepid water.

as someone who owns a jml one and a poundland one I can tell you the £1 one is way stickier! only down side being that it's not easy to remove your phone

These are rubbish. Mine broke after a week and the sticky thing was horrible. Much prefer the one I have now with a grip holder which was only a couple of pounds more than this.

Bought mine from a local garage for a fiver I think and loved it. It does occasionally fall off mid drive but a quick wash/wipe down and we're good to go again!
Lasted about a year til the actual pivot part fell to pieces!
Definitely recommend.... Especially for a squid!!

Been using my JML one for nearly 2 years now!
It sits in my car, the wifes, various sprinter vans and Daf trucks - couldn't function without it!
What I really want though is a 2 headed windscreen mount - 2 phones - any suggestions?

Halfords have a twin holder online, don't know if it's any good though

I had this problem initially. The front stuck too hard to the phone and the green suction pad came away from the 3m sticker on the plastic....I glued the green suction back on.
Then the front green lost suction and only half sucks now.
Sure heat added for this price. buy two and you'll have back up if you need it.
Bing bang bosh.

Great find OP, still using mine after 6 month (bought from a supermarket). Like some mention it do lose it stickiness after a few use. But that mainly to do with dust in the car or on back of phone. A quick wipe with a dump cloth or wet wipe does the trick and it good as new. However my new phone has a curve back so it doesn't work if your phone don't have a flat surface.

I bought it initially for my car, but the wife nicked it and said "I suppose I'd better go buy you one"!!
too damn right woman
It is a fantastic bit of kit.. especially for a quid

Can't go wrong for a quid, I bought 3 of them over a year ago as they do break eventually (my first one broke at the ball joint in the base). It is too sticky to start with but just dab it on your fabric seats a few times to pick up some lint and it'll be perfect. When it loses enough stickiness just wash the green pad in warm water and it's back to new.

Tried using these and wouldn't recommend due to poor quality and lack of grip.

I have had this a couple of days now in both cars and found that they're pretty good ..
I also have a "Wonder Holder" in my car and I've changed the magnet twice (what a swine that was) as they lose their hold quite quickly
For the sake of £1 I'd go for the JML thing any day!

Tried those - they're terrible. After going through loads of mounts I found the magnetic type one - stick a metal plate to the back of the phone and it works really well.

I don't recommend you this fake stuff!
ok it sticks odd times but when you drive it may fall again.
I bought a different for £2.50 from eBay

Do the magnets affect the phone/speaker. I like the look of those

No.. I have mine stuck next to the radio (only clear spot on the dash) but I find that it doesn't stay on for long.. go round a corner and it slides off into the footwell! I have my magnet stuck onto my phone case (of my S6) as I have an "invisible shield" on both sides of the phone so the magnet will peel that off if stuck to the phone.
Looks better than the wonder holder.... it takes ages to get it off your car.. had to use a Hair Dryer to get mine off when I replaced it!

it quite obviously does do the job if many people have had no issues .. and for £1 what is there to waste?

Yep, I had the same issue as others. The front bit is very sticky, great stuff. Sadly it is stuck to the plastic mount very poorly and fell apart after a week. To be fair jml refunded me pretty sharpish.
