On a nut or bolt head?
Different tool for different use.
Taps are for after you've snapped the fastener, which also involves drilling first, these are for rusted or rounded off fasteners.

bought these to remove a stuck oil sump plug - ended up drilling it out as I still couldn't move it.

I bought this and the metric set earlier - they were perfect for undoing the 8x semi-recessed rusty nuts on a 30-odd-year-old Hills lifting rotary garden clothes dryer.

Available from other sellers (but still fulfilled by Amazon) at £14.40, but Amazon deal of the day out of stock

I use the PZ-55 so can't comment on the others. They removed 24 rusty and rounded machine screws with no problem where I previously tried all other methods/tricks with no luck whatsoever, just making them worse.
The Knipex self locking grips are amazing for larger fixings - I've used them on brass boiler fittings, Aluminium screws on a gearbox and an alternator...
The rubber band method as recommended by mcbain sometimes works (though not for me on these occasions) so worth trying in an emergency...

Glad to have helped a few folks, I've benefited from the deals from others on here, so it's nice to return that.

I've been looking at the PZ55 and the PZ58, can't make my mind up which and is the main reason I never push the button each time I check them out...any recommendation?

Looks like they've sold out now. I bought the Irwin blue groove auger bits for £19, seems a decent price.

Until you get those pliers, try putting a rubberband over the screwhead and then pushing the screwdriver down into it.
The extra friction helps....

Those 'funky pliers' are fantastic to be honest ( the Japanese pliers for small stuff, the Knipex parrot jaw type for larger)
These are great if you are lucky and they fit the bolt head but size wise they are fairly limited. A complete metric set is much more expensive though.

Nice. I want a set, even though I can't remember when I last removed a rusty-headed bolt. (and when I did I probably used Stilsons)
There are a couple of videos on Youtube.
This site is always costing me money.
