I've never bought anything from e2save before so I went ahead and looked at reviews for the company. Is the company as bad as all the reviews say? I'm unsure on whether to buy this deal or not as my contract with Vodafone is ending on 24th November as I have cancelled it

Late return of iPhone 6 Plus under apple care cost me £166.
Just a word of caution. I have an Apple care warranty for my old iPhone 6 Plus. Under the care plan they can send you out a replacement phone while you send them back the broken one.
If you're silly enough to return longer than 2 weeks, as I was, they charge you £599 for the replacement cost.
If you do subsequently send it back this is subject to a restocking fee of £166 and they refund £434.
So this is a warning, if you're sending it back, make sure you do it within 2 weeks!
I now have an iPhone 7 plus with an apple care plan.
I hope this helps someone. Better to know this than not. No one from Apple told me in advance but it was in the agreement somewhere, had I gone through the terms and conditions.

why don't you get the other iPhone 7 EE deal which is just £5 more with no upfront cost and 5GB 4G/Unlimited minutes then?
Right then, for the sake of peace of mind with an expensive phone - Apple's upgrade plan suits me better. Still a good deal here though! Thanks BrianM
BrianM
19 Oct 161#80
As any other phone retailer! Nothing! It isn't a hire-purchase agreement.
They give you a handset - which is your responsibility from day 1 - and you are legally obliged to pay the agreed sum for network access for 24 months (even if the phone gets stolen or lost the same day!)
The handset is covered by e2save (as the retailer) for 12 months. However as Apple themselves does instant warranty it would be far easier and faster to utilise them.. After 12 months the Sale of Goods Act may still apply in some limited cases.
smiler594
19 Oct 16#79
What's happens after 12 months with e2save?
BrianM
19 Oct 16#78
From e2save you will get 12 months warranty - which is handled by Apple and not e2save in any event - NOT "for the life of the contract"! AppleCare+ also covers accidental damage (and is optional!)
smiler594
19 Oct 16#77
If things go wrong with the iPhone 7, and e2save replaces or fixes the problem while under contract, and if after the contract the owner is free to upgrade, then apples upgrade program is pretty useless in comparison. You get minutes with this, zero minutes with apple !!
skinrush
19 Oct 16#76
Surely the iPhone upgrade programme works out to be more expensive than this deal...
The minimum monthly spend on the upgrade programme is £27.50 per month over 20 months with a £49 up front cost. Then you've got to buy your airtime, which would be around another £10 per month for anything similar to what's being offered in this deal.

EE aren't a great network, myself as well as many friends and family have constant issues, seem to be unable to maintain a phone call especially whilst moving, also their 3G is pretty much unusable, don't get me wrong when you are in 4G it is good for data speeds but the issue with mast switching whilst using voice has been present since the orange T-Mobile merger
