They have metal spikey bits on the bottom so for black ice.... better than nought... but you still need to be very careful
DON'T ever think about going into shops with these on... as if they damage the floor...you are liable and yes they slippery :wink:

They don't slip if you stamp hard enough but then they really damage shop floors :stuck_out_tongue:

They do slip off... so lace them on... they work and are very useful if you want to walk in ice and snow :wink:

I bought a similar pair a couple of years ago, however, have not had the opportunity to try them out yet. Am I right in thinking that they are no good for black ice/thin layers of ice - the ice/snow has to be quite a lot and compacted quite hard? Also, if you are going into shops, you have to take them off each time as they are really slippery?
