wow this has gone down in price a lot? was just about to put mine on eBay as I sold my HTC phone but it's hardly worth it now, they sound pretty good with an HTC m8 too!!
PS, is it possible to use with other phones now ? when I pair with my p9 it pairs but all the sound goes out the speaker and none out of the phone

Still cheaper on ebay for a new one
dropped as low as £7.50 in the last few days so took a punt. it's smaller than I'd thought but definitely adds some low end to the audio. as long as you don't have unrealistic expectations then this is a great addition to a compatible phone. mine didn't come with a cable or plug, not sure if that's normal or if I've been stiffed.

Got one yesterday - works with M8 no problem - prob won't use it much but for £11.50 worth a punt.

it'll pair and low frequency sound will come out but it won't 'work' work because your phone won't know to roll off the bass to the smaller speaker - so it will sound rubbish.

Yes I found that with my M8. Not sure if some update to the phone messed with it but it was slightly out of sync. That's probably what drove it permanently into my drawer!

Not sure why this is hot - only works with the M7 and M8 as far as I know and the sound from it is not great. For the hassle and sound quality you're better off just using a proper speaker.
The reason this won't work properly with anything else is because it is only designed to output low frequencies. When paired with an M7 or M8 those phones will detect that a Boombass is present and roll off all the low end frequencies to that device whilst outputting only high and mid range frequencies from the built-in speakers. This results in greater volume and frequency response. In practice I was never really that impressed with the Boombass and it ended up in a drawer after a while. I have too many little superior Bluetooth options to hand!
I saw one of these in the Derby Cex a while back for about a fiver so I don't imagine this price is particularly special. Probably almost free on eBay!

You and me both. I always felt like it never quite synched as well as it should meaning the sound was always weirdly... off. Can't really describe it but personally I wouldn't recommend it.

There are some on ebay both auction and buy it now from several places. They seem like a no brainer if you have a HTC at this price.
