Seems good price for value end laptop. Pentium processor, 8gb RAM and 1TB hard drive. Supposed to be reduced from £309 but I am struggling to find other sellers in order to check this.

I'll stick with my large multi screen pc thanks, it looks nicer, plays nicer and I can do a lot more on it.
Laptops are for business or homework (if your 12), sure they will play lame games no problem but the cost of a gaming laptop vs a gaming PC is huge, laptops cost more and are less powerful per pound you spend. Fact.

Why do I need to grow up? If your not willing to spend at least £400 on a gaming PC then you are an amateur gamer. A £169 laptop will play solitaire/basic games at low frame rates. My comment is valid.

I got the last one too in croydon after checking ten other stores. Came all the way from crawley too after i reserved on the phone. Just about made it before they closed! Perfect timing as my macbook air died the other day so this will replace it.
Thanks op

Thanks OP, managed to find one. Very nice staff member stock checked all the local stores for me. Many stores showing 1 in stock, these are the display models.

None in South West Surrey either.
There were in store, but at the 'standard' price reduction of £299

Certainly a decent price for the spec but HP are now renown for awful build quality and reliability so factor in replacement sooner than you would normally.

No graphics card so integrated graphics only, cant really be used for high end games. Excellent laptop for that price, I recently got the AMD version of this with the R5 graphics card in for rendering and other than the built in mouse buttons being a little weak its a great system.

Laptops and gaming = amateur
Even if they are so called gaming laptops, unless you live in a shoe box, get a proper PC!!!

grow up. not everyone needs the inconvenience of a PC. and not everyone wants to spend 400£ on building a basic gaming PC.

don't know what you mean amateur. I play games on a laptop and would most likely beat you in any game you can name.

at a very low resolution and all the graphics settings set to low you can get acceptable frame rates. Not a pleasureable experience though. You need to get at least a recent i3 machine.
