Seems a decent printer but the 9 months instant ink makes this sound like a really good deal.

Regarding the specs, would you be able to scan and print a decent copy of a Cambridge University degree certificate, for instance?

So I could buy this and print a shed load of photos using the trial for 69 quid?

Can you start the trial period at any time? or does it kick in soon after purchase? I dont need to use the printer now so Iam thinking of storing it for few months. Also how do you register for the trial? there is nothing on currys site about that. Sorry for the questions

Great printer - picked up one recently. £69 in John Lewis and 2-months free instant ink.
Bought one of these at the weekend and its been great. It was bought to replace an 8-year old HP Photosmart printer that was costing a fortune to run. I was a little sceptical about HP Instant Ink, but its free for 9 months so decided to give it a go - so far so good. Even received an e-mail today to say that our first set of replacement inks were on the way. In my view its a solid, good quality All-in-One device that was half the price of our previous Photosmart printer and should cost a lot less to run.

If anyone buying one of these see if a friend has one so they can refer you. You BOTH then get an extra month free. You can always use my referral code

so will they send the ink monthly or is it only when the printer becomes low on ink? I would prefer to receive cartridge monthly regardless as I would like to subscribe to the highest option (300 pages) and keep the spare cartridges to use later. If they will only send when printer is low, you may end with 2-3 shipments over the 9 months periods (If you you dont use printer that much)

You only get new cartridges when your printer tells HP It's running low and needs one, so you can't stockpile. Info & FAQs on the instantink programme here

You can choose any of the options for the free trial, 300 pages being the max. So this printer effectively comes with 2700 free pages, they can be full resolution photos too if you like. Great deal.
thank you! thats great! of course ir wouls make sense for us all to choose the highest option for the free trial then! pays for itself within 9 months really! x
