I have my current car through them. I found them great to deal with. Quick, efficient and quick responses to my emails.

I've spent best part of a week deciding between this and the Skoda deal. Not much in it in terms of cash, but I've decided this is more the car for me. Rather have this on my drive than a Skoda so have gone for this one.
However, I'm surprised the Skoda's got over 600* heat whereas this has stayed below 100*. Strange site, this...

I would've gone for the Skoda between these 2 but both are good deals.

Perhaps because your views on Skoda's are not shared by as many people as you think. I would have a Skoda over a Honda in a heart beat. Cracking cars and good value unless you are over 65. If so buy a Honda lol

Just to confirm, the Skoda deal has 10,000 miles P.A. whereas this has 5,000. Didn't want it to catch you off-guard.
About the heat, some HUKD members just don't understand the concept

Yeah I realise - I expect I'd do between 8 and 9k miles/annum, so I've calculated the Skoda @ 10k (as that's what the deal is) and the Honda at 8k, then factored in the excess mileage charge and there's only a few pounds in it per month - so for me it came down to a straight choice between the cars. Honda has the looks, the gadgets and the fuel economy. The Skoda has some gadgets, is faster and has lots of space but it's thirstier and is no looker.
So, for me, I've gone for the Honda on the basis of better looks, better fuel economy and better gadgets!

One is often best off financially getting a lease with a small amount of mileage and then paying the excess for anything you do on top.

£28.41/mth difference.

You really can't go wrong with this engine - class leading - pulls well as standard - but give it a wee remap and it's rather nippy at 160bhp with over 320lb Torque!
And mine still gets 65mpg when I give it some heavy foot.

Would be really tempted if the 10k miles was cheaper... Really good for the price but yeah. Think of it like DVD rental. You pay to use it then give it back at the end of the rental period

That's interesting. But what about maintenance, or part fixes etc? They must surely want to make sure only original parts are used, etc..no?

It will have full manufacturers warranty so should be covered for any faults.
You have to pay for any services (Not sure if you'll have to pay for 1 or 2 over a 24 month lease) and any damage has to be sorted before it's sent back or they will charge you to fix it (like a DVD rental :P)

A car is the worse investment you can make, but nearly all of us need transport. If you have the money then buy a this years car, second hand with low mileage that someone else has already taken the hit on.
If you don't have the money and want a new car then a lease is worth considering .
Honda have a good reputation and are known for their reliability .
Meanwhile the Skoda brand will never get over being the laughing stock and should have been dropped years ago.

I think I'd go for the Skoda if I WAS over 65. The Honda is definitely a younger person's car.
Therefore Honda is 68p / month cheaper (more if Skoda admin fee included), accepting that I may have a small amount of excess mileage to pay if I exceed my 8000 miles.

Yeah totally. There is someone still living in the 1980's when Skoda were terrible! You just have to look at reviews - best family car and small car this year are Skoda's:
Okay, if you want to get down to the bones, for the Honda I need to add excess mileage for, say 1,000 miles (I would not exceed that). That would add an additional £5.83/month.
For the Skoda the admin fee is £200 (I looked it up). That adds £8.33/month to the cost of the Skoda.
So I would have been paying an equivalent of £194.97 for the Skoda, whereas I estimate I will be paying £191.81 for the Honda.
So the Honda IS cheaper - by £3.16 per month.
m5rcc
27 Oct 16#32
Wrong. Try again:
This Honda deal is £166.56 + £5.83 for your excess mileage = £172.39/net/month
Skoda is £194.93/net/month
Tell me the difference now...

Don't know how you have calculated yours, but mine's based on 8k miles and includes £240 admin fee. Ah I see where you've gone wrong - you have calculated using 5k miles/
But the important thing is you now agree that the Honda is cheaper than the Skoda - which is what I originally said.
