This deal is mentioned in the '25% Off When You Buy 6 or More Bottles Of Wine at TESCO groceries' thread, but I thought it would make sense to post it separately to make sure people don't miss it.
This deal is for bottles of Hardy's Stamp Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot or Hardy's Stamp Semillon Chardonnay and is on for today and tomorrow only.
The deal is good because you get a double discount, with the 25% off and 2 for £9.00 deals working together:
6 bottles at £6.50 each = £39
- £9.75 (25% off)
- £12.00 (2 for £9.00 discount of £4.00 x 3)
Leaving £17.25 to pay.
This has been confirmed as working in store by nuttybabe and Redfox on MSE.

Cracking deal, collection means you are getting each bottle for £2.87 - cracking deal even for the Aldistas and Lidl-Fanatics this is very good value!
does the double discount work with all the wines in the 2 for £9 offer?
says the 25%off is on until tomorrow so should work for home delivery if you have it delivered tomorrow.

Was in my local Lidl recently and they had their own-brand Australian Merlot (normal price £4.49) and Ozzie Shiraz (normal price £3.89) on offer at £2.99 a bottle. Don't be fooled by the already low price. These are excellent wines. I bought 48 bottles for me and a bottle of cheap fizz for the wife!

Yes, the double discount will work with all wines in the 2 for £9.00 offer. However the nature of the deal means that the lower the listed price of each bottle, the more you end up paying. So, for example, if you bought 6 bottles of wine priced at £5.00, the 2 for £9.00 discount would only be 3 x £1.00 and you'd end up paying £19.50.

you shouldn't have believed what it said as guide price (online orders from yesterday)

I picked up both & both were £36
the price you pay is the price on the day - not the guide price

Just to highlight the fact that I messed up the calculation for the £5.00 bottles of wine as the sums should be 6 x £5.00 = £30.00 - £7.50 - £3.00 leaving £19.50 pay. I've now amended my post. Of course the point stands that you end up paying more for a lower priced wine.

Worked a treat 5 minutes ago in Golden Hill Tesco- nb. the Cabernet Merlot (on at 2 for £9) was right next to the Shiraz Cabernet version of the same wine which appeared not to be on the 2 for £9 offer, so be careful to ensure you're getting the right wine.
As also previously stated the higher the price of the wine before discount the more you save- accidentally pick up the Hardy's crest that is currently only £5 (from £7) but still on the 2 for £9 deal, and the discount will be far less = the final bill far more.

I've just ordered 12 bottles for home delivery
They has to be delivered by end of tomorrow (Tuesday 11th Oct) as the wine offer ends
Total is £34.44 plus £2 delivery
To get over £40 I've ordered 1L spirits for £15 - this offer starts tomorrow but will be live when my basket is checked out
So my total "groceries" order is £49.44 but they've still added the £4 minimum basket charge
I've contacted C/C and they say that the invoice - when checked out tomorrow (9pm to 10pm slot is all that's left) - will not include the £4 when the delivery driver checks out my basket
If not I will get a £4 refund via C/S
Anyone wanting to use this offer via home delivery - I would book a slot asap for tomorrow before they are all filled and the offer expires
Thanks op - Heated

Tuesday 11th: while the 25% off 6+ bottles of wine has gone from the website, presumably as today's orders don't get delivered/billed until tomorrow, by which time the offer has expired, I can confirm from in-store first-hand experience today that 25% off 6+ is working with these wines, and others including the £7 Cockburn's Port [though only one left on the shelf, sigh], ie £43.00 worth of 7 bottles of wine/fortified wines got "25% OFF WYB 6 BTL OF WINE" ie £10.75 reduction, as well as "WINES 2 FOR £9" ie £4 with a pair of the Hardy's.

Opening post
This deal is for bottles of Hardy's Stamp Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot or Hardy's Stamp Semillon Chardonnay and is on for today and tomorrow only.
The deal is good because you get a double discount, with the 25% off and 2 for £9.00 deals working together:
6 bottles at £6.50 each = £39
- £9.75 (25% off)
- £12.00 (2 for £9.00 discount of £4.00 x 3)
Leaving £17.25 to pay.
