Finally below £20, the newest Guilty Gear has been getting rave reviews, and has even usurped Street Fighter V as the best fighting game on PS4 (allegedly).
Guilty Gear Xrd -REVELATOR- is the latest entry in the long running 2D fighting series and features amazing 3D visuals, gorgeous animation, fast and intense battles, excellent netplay and a fully animated story mode.
Incredible 3D Art - With a revolutionary visual style that allows the game to look and feel like a 2D fighter while getting all the benefits of 3D animation.
Simple Yet Deep – The Xrd series does away with the complicated gameplay system of old and returns to a simpler system.
Expanded Training Mode – Guilty Gear Xrd features the most involved practice mode in fighting games, teaching the players everything.
Story Mode – The fully animated story mode focuses on the events following Ramlethal Valentine’s declaration of war on the world and the battle against the Conclave.

Nice... Alas however, I am going to wait for the game to go down to £15. Black Friday at this rate I reckon...

Good price but I will be cheaper towards Christmas so I can wait till then. Now all we need now is for King of Fighters XIV come down.

Fair enough, but this is the landscape of fighters now.
Im interested to the model for Tekken 7. Katsuhiro is against buying DLC for characters, so fingers crossed.
BlazBlue's next game, Central Fiction will be the last one. Guilty Gear is growing outside of Japan, however we all know Capcom is the powerhouse for now.
Going back to your point, Capcom are doing the the exact same? Season 3 of SFV will still cost another 25 odd quid, as you will need to buy another season pass. Or they might bundles all season for say £45 (the price of another game)

...until "Central Fiction Extend" or whatever they will call it!

it's not quite the same though is it... If i buy vanilla SFV i can still play against those that have season 2/3 characters unlocked as it's the same base game with add-on/locked content patched in.. Correct me if i'm wrong but if one person has say BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma Extend on PS4, can they play against those who own BlazBlue: Central Fiction? I highly doubt it... This is why i'm hesitant to buy Fighters since SFV has gone the 'platform' route... Killer Instinct is another good example of a fighter adopting the 'platform' model.

I want this game but since Capcom made Street Fighter V a platform [as opposed to their old method of churning out regular/annual re-releases with roster updates/balance changes] i'm struggling to justify buying into Guilty Gear & BlazBlue, when i know a year from now a newer version will be out... Anyone else feel like this?

I feel exactly the same, absolutely love both Blazblue & Guilty Gear, but only going to buy one every 2 or 3 years. I have so many Japanese games I want to support (& stuff like XCOM) that it's impossible to buy them yearly both in time and money (especially when I've played the last ones so little).
