half the price for a reason. I owned an sj5000 for about 1 year and about 1 month ago I took the plunge for a GoPro Hero 4 Silver because the battery life was shocking on the sj5000 plus it was just point and shoot. The GoPro offers better battery life plus you can shoot videos in manual mode meaning you can change white balance, iso, colour enhancer, time lapse, plus you get the GoPro editing software which is excellent to say it is free. the feel of the product is so much better aswell you feel like you are holding a decent piece of equipment

new hero 5 session seems to be better than the hero 4 black (better spec, water resistance), so I would probably get that instead. It costs 249£ brand new
