Add both Forza Horizon 3 and Mirror's Edge Catalyst to your basket from Sainsbury's online (in the groceries section), then add the £18 off of £60 spend code AFFGNXTTSM or AFFVBXTTSM
I've got both ready to collect tomorrow evening!
Obviously you can swap either game for different games, or different items from their Groceries section, but this is the cheapest way to get these games at the moment.

****.
Thanks for the heads up, I had no idea.
Wonder if they'll let me partially cancel on the day and only take forza with the discount.
I know other people have done that in the past with substitutions.

Never done it with games, but you can ask the driver to send back items on your grocery shop with Sainsbury's. I've done this before with steaks and after sending them back for refund, the order total would have been below the £60 for the discount. Always was refunded the full price for the returned items. So you should be able to do that and send Mirror's Edge back for refund.

guessing it's the xbox one only version of forza?

Correct. You would need the digital release to obtain the PC/Windows version. Unfortunately prices remain sky-high.
Think it was a bit sneaky making only the digital version cross compatible. I got the disc only version in a bundle deal with my Xbox One S. However, after watching some analysis on Digital Foundry, the benefits, even on high spec PCs are actually fairly slight and the more consistent albeit lower frame rate makes for a better playing experience overall, so that in mind I'm not too sad about being locked into the Xbox One version. Since it's always been an Xbox franchise it seems like the true home of the series to me anyway tbh and gives me something to play on my shiny white Xbox :innocent: ...

The XBox version is very acceptable, I tried it at a friend's house on Friday.
I'm playing 4K/50Hz (60fps is unsustainable on my hardware) but considering the lower resolution/frame rate it held up extremely well, it certainly didn't detract from the experience

From the start the "Play Anywhere" thing has been for Digital only copies, so it's hardly sneaky. How would you expect it to work for disc games?
AStonedRaichu
9 Oct 16#23
Init you can't exactly expect to put your Xbox one game in the disk tray , or get a free PC redemption. It would greatly effect game prices as you could just resell the PC code
ST3123
9 Oct 16#24
Of course it could be done for disc games. They could have a bit of extra code on the disc to detect a windows 10 pc and install the right version or to prevent reuse simply have the xbox one version on disc and provide a card with a code for the pc version on it, therefore on use only for the pc version.
Lots of options, they just wanted to restrict it to the digital version to keep digital prices high while maintaining sales as many people will see it as added value like 2 in 1, though in reality most people will just pick one platform and stick to it...

Catalyst has a £16 trade in value (poss £17 if game can't match that) so technically around £28 for forza
Hot hot hot
Ps
My bad on ea access, seems a very quick release on that along with UFC 2 which still fetches £25 trade in.
Been waiting for battlefront for a year now :disappointed:

what would be the best combo profit wise with fora horizon 3
XP200
9 Oct 16#30
FH3 and rocket league for £43.00, £21.50 a game, nice little way to get both games if you don't have them.
Or if like me, i am in no hurry for FH3, so pop into Cex, get £32 cash for it, and that means the collector edition of RL cost me £11.98. ...ha!
Heat.

I just got Mirror's Edge for £1.99 as they didnt' have Forza Horizon in stock, going to look to trade this in later at either GAME or Smyths and get Forza i think.
Anyone know the process for getting GAME to price match CEX? do i just get a print out of the price?
Edit: **** that, apparently it's £49.99 in store at GAME, **** obscene.
Edit 2:
GAME offer £15 credit, £10.50 cash before any price match
CEX offer £16 credit, £11 cash.
I cant see online what Smyths offer.
Is there still any other stores still accepting trade ins? I know all the supermarkets quit doing it a few years ago, do HMV still do it?
Eldini
10 Oct 16#40
Smyths offer £15 credit, and sell FH3 new for 42.
42-15+2= Forza for £29
Edit : HMV no longer do trade ins either btw

That's weird, Forza was listed as in stock, but they couldn't fulfill it, so instead they gave me the mirror's edge for just £2 (with the £18 deducted from that only)
They also said the Forza was cancelled due to being out of stock, and if i wanted it i'd have to reorder.

Just ordered FH3, 2 cases of Budweiser and a pack of peanut M&M's to be delivered Tomorrow between 9 and 10pm. The Mrs is in for a good night.
Has anyone successfully had a copy of FH3 delivered by sainsburys? What happens if it is not in stock?
