I bought this for PS4 having never played a fallout game before, it's good but finding things kind of confusing especially around building, pip boy etc
I just killed the first deathclaw after about 4 attempts. do I need to store "junk" back at my house in sanctuary?

Junk serves two purposes Either as ammo for the junk cannon (which can be truly hilarious, nothing beats nailing a deathclaw in the face with a teddy bear) or for crafting/building. Some of it can also be sold to vendors for a lot of caps but those junk items tend to be rare as you'd expect.
If you don't intend on crafting your own stuff, building settlements or using the junk cannon then you don't need any of it.
It is extremely easy to cheese the first deathclaw but later on they become much worse because you're often without power armour and can't exploit the scenery and that's before you start dealing with Alphas and Legendary.
One final note. A star next to an enemy's name means it's a legendary and will drop a rare and special item if/when you kill it. A skull icon means that enemy is significantly higher levelled and more powerful than you. Ergo if you spot an enemy marked with a skull then best practice is usually to turn and run like a mofo in the opposite direction.

thanks for this, i've been waiting for the Xbox season pass to drop... not quite as cheap as i wanted but as i've done over 700 hrs on pc and still not completed the main quest, then i reckon i'll get my monies worth.
(btw, the reason i want it on xbox as well is i take my console away with me when house sitting, etc.)

Fallout 3 is a xbox 360 game that works on the xb1 via Back compat and is great, fallout 4 for is a xb1 game and is again great, why not get both, F3 digital codes are using floating around here or on some site on sale for a few quid.

I got this last Christmas and I am still playing it LVL47, I haven't even opened Halo or Forza yet :confused: it's amazing how time flies.
Brilliant game and for under £10 wow.

I had this when they made a mistake and gave all the DLC away, but then traded it in, but for £9.99 i just bought it back again for the fact that the mods on the game are amazing on the XB1, so less than a tenner is a no brainer.
