Looks like a bargain, have no idea about picture quality, but great price for an Android TV

I bought this exact model 3 weeks ago from them for £278.98.
Picture quality is good, sound is good, but the EPG is abysmal. It used Android 4.4.2, it is very fast and plays all my android games with ease.
This doesn't use Android TV, instead, you press the 'smart' button on the remote, or select this as the source. It then quickly boots up the android system. This doesn't have the disadvantage of slow channel swapping, like most android TVs, since the android system is separate.
Also note, that the android system can only access the USB's at the back of the TV, not the one at the side. It took me ages to work out why my airmouse wasn't working until I figured this out.
Am I glad I bought it - YES

When you say "used" does that mean you have updated the version of Android?

Should have read 'uses'. My fingers working quicker than my brain.

I have installed Kodi straight from the google play store without a problem. Kodi 17 (when it gets released) does require 5.1. As of today, there isn't any OTA update on this TV.

Where can you get a 50 inch 4k hisense TV with build in Android for less than £300 ?

It is not keeping up the joneses. Everything is 4k now. Wake up now and not miss the train.

I suspect it might be better to buy an Android box and connect it to a £250 50-inch TV. And before I get cautioned, there has been a multitude of 50-inch TV deals around 250 in the recent past. Not sure it will ever be the case post Brexit.

Are all your TV channels 4k, all your games consoles 4k, your bluray player, your..... ? not sure if you are clever enough to answer this, so I'll do it for you. 'NO' , everything isn't 4k.

Every thing is 4k now. Xbox one s with 4k blue ray player , chromecast, amazon TV, BT TV, sky Q, nvidia shield etc. Also hdmi 2.0, hdcp and Hdr show 1080p much better as well than on 1080p TV.

Those items may be able to produce 4k, but without making you look too stupid, not 'Everything' is 4k.

Xbox one s game are only upscaling it's not 4k devices might be able to paly 4k but the contents is not out really it's very limited so everything is far from 4k it's just all upscaling

As has been said 4k content is very sparse. May as well pay 299 for something where you will be able to use the features. In a few years time buy a 4k when content is more avsilsble

Just a quick update - You can't put the latest Kodi on this TV now, since the firmware still hasn't been updated and its still on android 4.4.2.
