And honestly, it does serve a purpose on the market, since for little more (depending the location) than a hostel you can sleep in a private (albeit tiny) room with your own toilet.

Sadly not a joke. I understand for some this will be better than their existing options, but for many who could afford to spend a little more then my recommendation would be to do so. The £3 fee for a remote control (without it you can't even turn the tv on to use the buttons on the set) is just an example of the cost of extras you'd expect as standard elsewhere. Of course you're under no obligation to spend any extra, but I'm just pointing out that many things people might expect to be included in the price are not so.

Homestay cheaper than airbnb , the cleaning fees and admin fees on top rip you off

I would check out airbnb as well if you just want a cheap place to stay.

Crawley is £29 travelodge just stayed Thier last week

I've stayed at this hotel before and wouldn't ever stay again. No windows, no furniture (not even a side table to rest your phone on at night) and a bathroom where you could use the loo, brush your teeth and have a shower without moving an inch. Appreciate it's cheap, but if you can afford more then please spend it as this provides a terrible nights sleep.

Also, it's £3 for the remote control per night!

These are what they are. If you want a half decent place, you'll need to pay £60 as people have mentioned for travelodge/premiere inn types. These are perfect if you have a night out, which is going to end in a mess. Other than that, there is very little good to say other than the price. You pay for what you get, to a certain extent.

I stayed at one near Victoria several years ago. We had a late flight back from Rome and there were no trains back so we decided this would be better than sitting in a train station for 6 hours. I was very wrong, the station would have been infinitely better.

The place stunk, the walls literally touch fully 3 sides of the bed and half of the remaining side, no window etc... It might be cheap but you can get a travelodge for an extra £20.

croydon central is often £29 for Premier Inn and that or less for Travelodge on Sundays.

Room cleaning £10..........

AT LEAST IT COMES WITH FREE MICE AND BED BUGS

You'd struggle to even get Croydon at less than £50, but if you're going to stay in outer London have a look at places like Kingston first as it's normally only a few quid more and more pleasant with the Thames walks nearby.

It's hot from me. Is there any of these hotels in London, planning on a site seeing holiday in March next year or any other cheap hotels anyone can recommend

Good price for Earls Court or anywhere near the centre of London if there really are rooms at the price.

Heat for the find tho .....

Never again stay at easy hotel, feels like ur in a plastic lunch box ,and the toilets as so small and airline like , as if they been ripped out of the old easy jet aeroplanes and installed in the hotels .
Travelodge is far better at £25

I checked the 9th - 12th of jan and it was coming up as £39 per night. Still a good deal for a central location though - just not sure about a room with no window :confused:
