One of the best mould resistant sealants I've used and I paid full price for my bathroom!! These always have excellent reviews and I have never purchased another brand of sealants again.

Is this any good to seal between a worktop and tiles?

Yes.

I swear by Everbuild's Forever White. Always find their products to be quality and more importantly made in Britain. Dow's and Soudal's are made in the EU.

Not much made in Britain these days, I wish it was, still no reason not to buy a quality product.

bathroom installer used this in our house and it was mouldy within 12 months. room is well ventilated and has humidity driven fan too. not what I will be using to replace it when I do it my self in a couple of weeks.

it's mould resistant, not proof. like me you must just step out the shower and leave it wet, no sealant can deal with that unfortunately. dry everything off and it'll stay white for years and years...

Just cover it with Domestos Bleach over night and wash it off with warm water the next morning, no more mould.

For all amateurs out there who struggle to apply silicone neatly do yourself a favour and buy a Fugi kit .
I bought one for a tenner and have used it several times with excellent results.
I agree this Dow Corning product is very good as well.

The Home bargains Unibond white sanitry silicone sealant 300ml tube for £2.49 is also good.
Find that if any mould appears on grout etc neat bleach rubbed in with old toothbrush generally works

Heat added, but I prefer Soudal Sealant as my weapon of choice. Although it comes out slightly tackier it feels easier to apply and produces the best finish when smoothing, it doesn't have the acidic smell when curing (as it doesn't release acid) and lasted longer than Dow Corning before going mouldy. http://www.screwfix.com/p/soudal-stay-fresh-sanitary-silicone-sealant-ice-white-300ml/7443h

If you did this any sealant would work for years and years. You have to rince the soap scum off and that will normally do. You don't see mold on movement joints so its down to the residue that's left on it after you take a shower.

Agreed, did tons of research before buying these and though slightly expensive compared to the alternatives better this than painstakingly remove old sealant.

But mould and bacteria are two separate, distinct things.

They certainly are - Thank you for your micro-biological insight. On a relevant note this stuff is resistant to both and is just about the best silicone you can buy. Heat

Yep. Bacteria are single celled and less complex organisms as opposed to large complex filaments. Yes I studied a life science degree...sorry!
