Maybe I should try dodging/rolling out the way more too then, as I always seem to struggle when I get to a new boss! Such a great game though, I'll get there in the end. Cheers

Not at all, I wasn't a great Dark Souls player before either.

Dark Souls 3 is more gentler to get into after Bloodborne thanks to DS3 having a more brisk combat system compared to other Souls games. Dark Souls 2 is still worthy to get into to but it will require more of a learning curve. DS2 is the weakest of the Souls games but is still superior to most games out today.

Cheers for that, I think DS3 is next for me then.

I'd say BB is the easiest due to the speed of your dodges, I found myself zipping through bosses.

I don't think they really start off hard, it just takes getting used to the combat. That is part of the fun. Prepare to die a lot but each time you learn from your mistakes. They are generally harder than most games around these days which spoon feed you. I haven't played DS2 yet but plan to now I have finished BB and DS3. I certainly don't consider myself to be a 'great' gamer but love these type of game and they are well worth persevering with. Ordered!

Yeah I found that when I first started BB as I very nearly gave up! However the more I died - the more I learnt and after much leveling up with weapons, attire, heath, powers and after the first few bosses were defeated, it felt like one of the best games I've played! Such a clever game.

The "problem" with these games is that they tend to start off hard and get easier, this difficulty at the beginning puts people off.

The included expansion for DS2 is some of the finest Souls content yet released.

Hi Andy, and thanks. I've completely overlooked these games before, but I've been so impressed with Bloodborne (despite the game being rocket hard!) so think I'll give DS 3 ago too then. Cheers.

I've really got into Bloodborne recently and I'm slowly but surely working my way through each sections bosses!
Can anyone tell me if Souls 2 is similar in gameplay and if it's harder or easier by comparison?

Hi NB, BB is a great game (fingers crossed for BB2). The DLC is excellent as well.
If you want a similar experience then Dark souls 3 is probably the closest but without the regain system it is quite difficult to compare the two.
Personally I thought Dark souls 2 was the weakest out of all the Souls (Demon's Souls & Dark souls),Bloodborne games.

Awesome price, awesome game. Just wrapped this up and it's probably the best 15 quid a gamer will ever spend.
