There ya go Ian.online... unsurprisingly...he don't understand, even though you tried to explain the very basics of what makes something a good deal. Oh You to smudge92.

because if you wanted a mug like this somewhere else it would almost certainly be much more than £1

**Dunno** the reason Jan 5Th is the best part of Christmas is because all the 'utter tat' as benjamin316 rightly calls it comes to an end.
Why can't people put money aside over the required time period, then buy every thing in **DECEMBER** where it belongs?
A seasonal novelty mug for £1 is good, but how clever/ stupid will it look come Easter?

some of us enjoy buying things when we find them and not waiting to December to run around like a headless chicken looking for stuff.

Thank you. A deal as its a great idea for a Christmas stocking filler, which I wouldn't have known about. Not bothered its a full £1 in the Poundshop. I'm sure its much more expensive elsewhere. The deal for me is I know to go and have a look. Thanks for taking the time.

If you just want to buy some tat because it's "priced at a pound" - try not to lose your mind - but here is a reindeer bottle opener for 99P + FREE DELIVERY!!!!! Hold onto your rubber underpants, I said 99P + FREE DELIVERY!!!! Which is an actual deal for Xmas if you are shopping around for cheap tat - a tat-tastic deal you might say: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mountain-Warehouse-Reindeer-Bottle-Opener-/231802924043

It's a good deal if you would pay more elsewhere to buy the same (or similar) item.
If your £150 phone which was on offer for £99 was being sold in Poundland for a quid, would you not consider that a good deal? (OK extreme example, but you get the point ..... or maybe you don't !!)

Why are you baffled? If a £150 phone is on offer for £99, that's a deal. If a £1 item is on offer for £1, how is that a deal?

How is a £1 item at the £1 shop a deal? It's not. Wait another 80 days to buy it and it'll still be £1 :smirk:

Always worry about cheapo mugs and other glazed items, far to often been found to contain heavy metals in the glaze " lead etc "
