Just bought one and took the 3 year replacement cover which was only £2.19 so if the strap breaks in that time I can have a new one!

This watch was in the Argos Black Friday event last November for £7.99. I just missed it and refused to pay the full price as it had more than doubled. I may hold out until the end of November to see if it reduces again. 7dayshop.com has some good casio watch deals and is worth a look.

I got this exact deal on here years ago but as someone wisely pointed out the straps break easily and replacements are about £7.99 so might as well buy another watch. This in turn means I have a watch head sitting idle along with my stubbornness to buy an extortionate priced replacement strap.
Anyone know of cheap imitation straps that would fit?

Straps don't last long - couple of years maybe before they split - but I always take out insurance for three years when I buy Casios from H Samuel and they give me a new watch which is usually scratched anyway. In theory they don't entertain ' wear and tear ' claims so as far as I'm concerned it's a manufacturing fault. That said they're about £20 there so for a tenner at Argos might as well just throw it away when the strap goes

Water resistant at £9.99 yet todays smart watches costing £££s struggle to add this! and it comes at a premium!

Straps break after a couple of months and very difficult to get a replacement.
Straps are classed as consumables by casio so are not covered by them.

They'd have to be covered by argos though.

Lots of compatible (not made by Casio) straps on Ebay for around a fiver - this one for example:
It is half the price of the watch but that's because the watch is cheap rather than the strap being expensive.

I've had mine over a year, straps are perfectly fine. Couldn't recommend this enough, however, saying that, the date and month are the other way round, doesn't take long to get used to, but it's a little nag at the back of your head every time you look at it. Other wise perfect.

Apparently Casio says "smart" refers to the power management!

Past couple of casios I've bought have lasted a few years but they are not the indestructible ones I can remember from my younger days.
The one I've got now isn't sealed properly and let's water in when I wash my hands, disappointing.

Shame it doesn't have a countdown timer (I'm a Ref). Cracking price otherwise....
