I see. I'm surprised flubit would give that much discount even if it was discounted to £37. Every time I've used them I only get a 1-5% discount.

I ordered X-Com 2 with the PRE5 code. Should have been £28.99. They charged me £29.99 in the end. CS don't want to know. Sent an email. A week later, no reply. Can't be bothered chasing it for the sake of a quid, but it is a bit concerning. I wonder what my mystery price will be for Battlefield?

I'm not a regular Battlefield buyer, so what are the chances this hits about £30 soon after launch?

Like a tool I rejected the £32 Flubit offer when Amazon reduced it to £37. Then a few days later i realised I hadn't pre ordered it at £37, and when I went back it was back up to £42 :disappointed:

Anyway I got it for £40 from Amazon (with a voucher) but I'm wondering whether Its worth saving £3 by ordering it from Smyths? Hopefully Amazon will reduce it back to £37 - so flubit can do another £32 - BUT Smyths don't get very good reviews for cancelling pre orders. Has anyone got any positive/negative experiences from cancelling pre orders from Smyths?

yes I know a month ago but this is a pre-order and the original OP done all the hard work

I originally had it pre ordered from smyths before I saw it was so cheap on flubit. All I did was contact Smyths customer service and a day later, my pre order was cancelled. So that's my positive experience with cancelling.

​I preordered from Smyths but then got a voucher for Amazon, which meant BF1 only cost me £30. Emailed Smyths to cancel and got the confirmation email the next day. No problem.

I actually did find it but didn't know it was posted here before.Don't see what the problem is ? People may have forgot about that deal and this a very good price for a game coming out very soon.

Depends how successful it is. GTA 5 is 2 years old, and still selling at full price. So i would guess at least 6 months. If you can wait that long to save £6.

They have a list of retailers that will beat an Amazon price just to get your business. The downsides are you will probably have to wait a couple of days after It's official release.

Not buying this after the boring beta I played. I know its a cliche but it really is just battlefield with a ww1 skin. I went with COD IW with COD 4 remaster instead.

I don't know any COD players that can play Battlefield, as they find it too slow and realistic.

Thats funny because it seems most of the COD fans are the ones jumping on the BF1 hype train. But your right COD fans can't get into BF. They all learn the hard way like they did with BF3, 4 and now they will with BF1 and then go back to COD. People never learn.

I must admit, i'm jumping on the BF bandwagon. But only because the new CODs are a load of rubbish. Laser rifles, mecha suits, jet packs, even telekenesis. Its getting ridiculous and the complete opposite of what COD4 was.

Give me a rifle, pistol and a few grenades and i'll be a lot more impressed.

Black ops 2 and 3 were futuristic and both of those games were very good. If done right unlike Advanced Warfare they can be just as good as boots on the ground COD games.

guess we're all different. I hated BlackOps 3. All the telekenesis and alternative dimension/time travel stuff was awful. I just prefer games set in real life situations. Like COD4, World at war, etc.

I strongly recommend Battlefield: Hardline. You're basically an LA police officer with a pistol and sometimes a submachine gun. My favourite shooting game since COD4.

Did Tesco have down to £37 or only if used with a code? I have preordered with them so hoping I'll get it for £37. Never noticed anything at the time.

Haven't played COD in years. MW1 & 2 and BOPs 1 & 2 were all excellent online but since then it's been BF4 all the way for me.

If you liked Black ops 1 and 2 then I don't see why you wouldn't like Black ops 3.

People don't hop about like fleas on 1 & 2.

They toned down the hopping from Advanced Warfare and its only used for traversal in Black ops 3. Thankfully most people agree as its still one of the most played game on either console.

I think your generalisations are more based on your own personal opinions rather than any solid facts.

And yours isn't? I actually like the futuristic setting and before infinite warfare I thought it wasn't futuristic enough. Now with infinite warfare is full on futuristic and thats a good thing.

Got my dispatch email yesterday and they post standard royal mail 2nd class, anyone had issues with their preorders from Smyths turning up after release date? Seen a few posts on twitter about it and wish I had paid more attention possibly.

I also got my dispatch notification yesterday so if they posted before 5pm we should be receiving tomorrow hopefully.

Its not a non-comment as I ordered the game with the deal code, I am just pointing out even if its a repost, its better than what the website can do.

Psn is down as are loads of internet services i think due to an attack on servers.. if your game hasnt been delivered yet you wouldn't be able to get online anyway if its any consolation

They ended up sending me a Ps4 version, but luckily I'm only a few miles away from a store. Next time I think I'll stick with Amazon.
