Seems a great price for these, usually around £130.
ordered a pair myself and they work with xbox one providing you have the necessary cables.
You will need a chat adapter for xbox one or a new controller and a 3.5mm to 2.5mm chat cable.
EDIT: OOS now and the option to buy them has been removed, only other option is pre owned at 129.99 so needs expiring.

i dunno if you just havent been keeping up or just follow the general consensus that they are crap but you can get 7.1 headsets, for example the Strix has 5 drivers per ear and is highly reviewed.
Frankly it comes Down to price, but nowadays true 7.1 is more than viable and there are some great sounding true 7.1 headsets. As always. High end> low end

You don't get actual 7.1 surround headsets they can't fit the speakers inside properly and with true 5.1 surround headsets the speakers suffer because of the small size they have to be to fit in the earcup.
I'd take a pair of good stereo headphones over surround sound headphones, I have had multiple and after swapping for surround to stereo I wouldn't go back the sound is much more natural and detailed.

Thats not right at all, virtual surround sound, is 2.0 and has post processing to simulate surround sound and distance (only 2 drivers), however it is still stereo and hard to judge distance/direction.
"Actual" 7.1 headsets have multiple drivers (alot of the time 5.1 plus virtual processing) and though drivers are close a good quality pair do not sound tinny and youcab actually judge direction pretty well.

7.1 Surround sound is all simulated in headphones, it just makes the audio sound tinny

I got a perfectly working pair of these with the mix amp for 70 quid on eBay. or you could just eBay a mix amp pro buy a really good pair of headphones and a MOD mic and you have a much better sound and experience than with the astros

You might aswell just buy the headphones as they will only be 2.0 on Xbox if plugged into thecontrollee. Evey thing else it connects via USB or for PS optical cable, to get best sound. Or for xbone just get the newer M80 + headphones, which at least have simulates 7.1.
After that you are looking at ether the TR amp Xbox or PS4 version or A50s both a lot more expensive.

If you are on about the headset with m80 mix amp they are not great, mixamp pro is the one you want.
