I appreciate that this has been posted previously however now back in stock at the Apple Refurb store are Mini's 2 and 3.
Having watched the site regularly it's the first time in months I've seen the Mini 3 in stock and at £199.00 personally I think it's a good deal.
Yes you can buy cheaper refurbs from Ebay however I wanted the piece of mind of a 12 month warranty and a 'genuine' product.
I've researched the difference between the Mini 2 and 3 and it's neglible however the 3 was released 2 years ago (3 years for the Mini 2) and the Touch ID is a bonus!!
In my opinion worth the £10 difference over the Mini 2.
Just ordered with free delivery on Monday!
All colours in stock at time of posting.

I bought my iPad Mini 2 32gb for £230 ish back in January. Supposedly Grade A but was like new (no scratches, no signs of wear, no broken battery or anything). Voted hot anyways though cause its still a good find.

I would personally choose the mini 2 32GB over the mini 3 16GB. The 16GB storage is pitiful once you've loaded a handful of apps and TouchID is largely pointless on an iPad (the usage scenario isn't like your phone). Hardware between the mini 2 and 3 is otherwise identical though the A7 SoC is getting a little long in the tooth now, Apple seems to be doing their best to make it run worse with each iteration of iOS, it's bearable but only just.

The bonus of buying refurb from Apple is you get a year's warranty, and it's a guaranteed new outer shell (and possibly battery too I think?). So worth doing for the extra money. Good deal.

No problem sharing my post, thanks for the hot votes.
Speaking from my own experience I wouldn't buy another Apple refurb unless from Apple.
Four years ago I bought a refurb IPad 2 from the Apple Store. It arrived looking like brand new and we haven't had a single problem with it. The battery is still going strong and it's used daily.
During the past 18 months I've bought three IPhone 5c 'refurbs' from different Ebay sellers and experienced battery problems with all of them.
I've opened them up and they've had loose components and inferior batteries fitted, on one phone the battery had leaked inside!
You get what you pay for I suppose.
Hope this helps you decide

I never said it was a deal, I said
"128GB iPad mini 3 wifi and cellular is a very good price £349.99"
and you asked if I was joking, but you still haven't answered where you can get it cheaper?

Sorry, I took 'good price' to mean deal. As to where it can be purchased cheaper? I haven't a clue where or if it can. I just wasn't sure if it was sarcasm when you said it was a good price so I had to double check. I hoped it was but now I feel disappointed.

Quick update, my Ipad Mini 3 in Gold has just been delivered by DPD, looks absolutely brand new and untouched!! Maybe it is new and Apple don't want to be seen to mass reduce their products?! Anyway who cares, thanks :sunglasses:

I can second this. I also bought an Ipad Mini 3 in silver (unfortunately all sold out now) and it was in absolutely perfect condition. No sign whatsoever of any use.

me too... Been trawling ebay to suss out how to buy a used iPad but this is so clearly the better way to go (not at £299 though :disappointed: )
I read the iPad mini 3 is not that much better than the 2...
