Tesco are giving 75 Clubcard points for every £25 spend on gift cards in-store or online. This is effectively a 3% return which beats the standard Morrison's offer (250 points for £10 = 2.5%). Obviously the return increases if you spend the points on Clubcard Deals rather than taking them at face value.
This appears to be *any* gift card.

Not sure. In the end I chose the 3 x £10 Amazon voucher and bought £4.12 of groceries that I was going to buy anyway. Didn't think it would work but it did and I paid £30.12.

The point I was trying to make is that they are encouraging you to buy cards for competitor businesses. Amazon sell the same items as Tesco. They aren't promoting their own cards. If this is a Tesco promotion the person who thought of it is an idiot and should be sacked. They'll start selling Lidl and Aldi cards next!

I usually do but I forgot to tell the checkout operator to do them separately.

I would go for two £100 giftcard separately to be on safer side.

That's not true, I bought £200 worth of Amazon in one transaction yesterday. I'm looking at the receipt now and I got 600 clubcard points.

or buy giftcards from zeek.me and just get the discount instead of messing around with points

I wonder if they're related to Zeek Rewards (outed as a Ponzi scheme). 'ang on, they're based in Tel Aviv, Israel - can't be supporting settlements just to save a few pennies.....

I may be wrong - website looks live, and refreshed since I last used it. I used to buy the cards from Tesco but remember there was a rumor they were about to sink, so made sure I withdraw all credit. Not seen their cards in Tesco since, though...

So you can buy competitors gift cards from Tesco and get extra Tesco points. Then you can spend that value at say Amazon or John Lewis (Inc. Waitrose). But you can't do the same with their own. Good idea Tesco!

Yep I buy them to pay off my Next account and for shopping in other stores, I then save the points and get RAC breakdown with it. So far this month I've saved over £17 in points, they have been doing this for a while but it is usually 150 points per £50.

Didn't know that. Used to be 3vcards and were then rebranded pay.com shortly before Morrison's pulled the promotion.

If tesco do pay.com cards, it's free money. God I miss the Morrison's free petrol offer :disappointed:

What is the red gift card in the display that appears to say "Visa Gift Card"? If this is a prepaid Visa card then would it be worthwhile getting this, then spending the cash on it to buy some more to get another lot of 75 points and so on?
kooks65 to winningchip
2 Oct 16#11
You have to pay a bit extra for the visa ones, I think it is £2-3ish.

They done sell Thomson Holiday gift cards do they ? If not , anyone know where sells them ?

You can't buy a giftcard with the Tesco brand on it and get the 75 points. You can buy all the other branded cards (Amazon, iTunes, Pizza Hut, etc) in a Tesco store and you should get the 75 points.

Good find helmethead.
Handy that Chanchi32 was hanging from the ceiling at the Customer Service desk to take the photos!
Maximum Gift Card purchase per transaction is £100.
Buy the £25 Tesco ones, look after them, then spend on your groceries every week. (Expiry is 5 years)
So buy in multiples of 4 at a time = £100, receive 300 Clubcard points = 3%, plus a further 1% when spent in Tesco on your normal shop in store or online is a 4% return.
Better than money in the bank if you normally grocery shop at Tesco. Fill your boots!
