Anyway HEAT because £1 from poundland buys a new pair of gloves and lunch for £2, I cant eat processed junk but £2 for a new pair of gloves and lunch for a homeless person I will make sure I do this, at least I know £1.70 of my £2 donation does not go to 'running costs'

Must be just yours then.
Can honestly say I have always seen them take their gloves off when going to the till or using the phone after preparing food in all the Subways I have ever visited. And before you say it, yes I am fussy about this stuff!.
And whilst on the subject of hygiene, can I just plug this awesome free app (not mine btw!) called ScoresOnTheDoors from Google Store. It hooks into the FSA (Food Standards Agency) database and instantly gives the hygiene ratings of restaurants around you, or you can search by town etc. Highly recommended when travelling around.

Me too - and I imagine that any Subway franchise seen breaking the hygiene rules would be reprimanded by the company. That said, there are quite a few 1/2* ratings on the Food Standards website! I suspect they are at risk of their franchise being terminated if the problems aren't resolved.

Great little app but i can't take the FSA rating seriously, when my local Papa John's has recently received a 5 out of 5 rating and iv seen a cat walking around on the worktop in the back several times.
They also sharpen there knives on the wall out side for some reason.
And the staff use the back passage as a toilet.
Great offer at subway though, I'm gna check my local later. Thanks op

I agree that the FSA scores on the doors system is flawed. The criteria is fixed and is very specific so some more dangerous food practices go unnoticed. The only thing I would say is that the establishments that can't be bothered to get at least 4 stars are probably lapse on food hygiene overall. It is quite easy to get 4 stars with basic food hygiene practices so no excuses really.

That app is already posted on this site. Makes interesting reading checking up on local restaurants.

This offer is at stores in Yorkshire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside and surrounding areas.
So this is my thing. I buy at least one sub a week for approx £3. It would be good if everyone that did that instead spent £3 on 3 pairs of gloves (pound shop etc) and went three times each week. Everyone is a winner and it feels less like taking advantage of a nice offer

You can't swap with any gloves. It's gotta b ones that are distributed in your area by certain places. If you got one of them banners in your stores it says at bottom the places where they are distributed. I'm sure it can't b just any glove

The gloves will be distributed via organisations shown on the Subway website. Not valid for double meat, double cheese or any other extras.

I did wonder that too unless how they means is that the gloves will be distributed once you give them, as in you give them a pair and then they distribute them to the homeless via the organisations shown. I could be wrong but I am thinking many people are thinking it that way.

Anyways let's see what happens today as I'm curious lol

There's a couple comments here that irk me, about how donating a pair of gloves isn't sufficient. You get these comments anytime some sort of charity thing is mentioned.
Of course it would be nice if they donated more gloves or sandwiches or money to charities, but don't complain about these hypothetical people who aren't donating enough stuff to please you. At the very least, this offer will get some people to donate a pair of gloves, which may be more than they usually do.
