They basically have like a silicone layer on the LEDs. Much more durable and these are actually a good price too

these are good but not for 24hour usage, we use it at night as a night light and it's been fine for 2 months so far

The strips are very thin so be aware of this if you plan on routing it around a lot of corners. They work but overall would recommend buying the thicker strips you can get on amazon.

The pics show a bare contact midway so they will be the standard design of xx cm between cut points
