Well even if you have been driving for 40 years thats a new car 5 times a year no wonder you dont have any scratches.
My cherished 11 year old motor from new does however, have some scratches

if they made these bigger to cover the whole car then you would never get accident damage  also the car couldn't be stolen as it would be invisible.
Installation video: First 1min:30s is removing existing scratches with polish - then from 1min:30s the installation
so
new car skip to 1min:30s
non-new car (with scratches) start at beginning of video,
cheers
Have you ever opened your car door with the car keys in the same hand?

Tends to be jewellery that causes most scratches in this area, especially tall rings like engagement rings.
Personally, although these an amazing price, better to refinish with Maguires compound or if light Super Resin Polish.

about the same year I first got a Scorpion alarm I think it was called but remote anyway.
I still have made the mistake though of opening the UNLOCKED door with the set of keys in same hand.
do not waste your money, have had over 200 cars never thought I need a bit of plastic to protect the door handle recess!!!!! load of rubbish

maybe people should just buy hundreds of these and cover their whole car and protect it from stone chips, bird poo, ect, ect, not forgetting windshield protectors to save you getting a little chip in the windscreen, after all if you worry about a little scratch that can easily be rubbed out you must be frantic at the thought of a stone chip on your bonnet
In all honesty if you look at the handle recess of yourcar you will most probably see it has a few scratches on from rings (normally higher set engagement rings) if there is a woman who uses your car
If you have a new car and want to protect from these scratches it's worth it.
I don't have scratches there on my cars no. Don't propose. Problem solved, along with many others....

Be careful with these. I stuck these invisible stickers on the handles of my old car, and then could not find the locks to open the doors. I had to call the AA out and he smashed the glass. :disappointed:

Why would there be scratches at the door handles? It's not like anybody has to put a key in the lock anymore. Seems pointless to me.

I meant to leave a smiley  . Not a sarcastic comment. But really these seem as effective (if that's the word) as sticking other protective bits all over your car. Just had a big scratch on my bonnet. But I wouldn't have a protective cover on that. It's a car. Tesco bumps happen.

Hi
51 orders in 12 months all under £15.00 but they now have a hub in Europe that until Brexit seems to mean no VAT or duty.
Anyhow 51 orders 1 problem resolved with "no need to send back" and refund.
If you think eBay and amazon as one company you have aliexpress
Their turnover is more - a lot more than amazon worldwide.
Plus you have their ali cover which is very much bias towards the buyer (us).
hope this helps
its not the amount in £ its the principle I agree.
Cheers
ps
UKhotD have a VERY strict policy with "ali"
• seller must be trading for over 12 months or they delete the deal.
• seller must have a good trading record.

The deep scratches usually occur around the door handle, not in the recess. This product is useless as it protects inside the recess where there are only minor surface scratches.
Like the plastic door protectors this product is completely useless and trying to solve a problem that isn't there. If I was was to protect anything it would be the front end of the car and the rear bumper top/corners.

Thats a new car every 2 months for 40 years!! Just wow! Some people have all the luck.
Although it does remind me of a friend of mine who had an accident in his car, then had an accident in the loan vehicle and guess what - he then had an accident in the replacement loan vehicle! Perhaps bavis1 is a really really bad driver? (or a millionaire of course :man: )

What a load of crap never have i looked at a car and been put off by a few wear and tear marks this must be aimed at the blue rinse brigade who spend longer cleaning their cars than they do driving them. After a few days the water will get under them and start the peeling process and leaving the whole thing looking turd, its trying to solve a problem that doesnt exist and for that reason im out

I am a bit confused though as to why one of my deals was expired by moderator NeoTrix, because it appeared the seller was based in china...when infact postage was from UK. What about the scratches above the handles these wouldn't stop? Your car is just scratched to crap all over it seems and has poor paintwork due to obvious neglect from a prior owner or yourself.
Mine certainly aren't scratched like that anywhere on the doors but then I look after them in the first place...
deany76
17 Oct 16#79
One owner - me - from new 11 years old 140,000 miles cherished NOT neglected thank you. Runs like the day I collected it from the main agent, i.e. perfect.
Maybe your purchases never suffer from- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wear_and_tear
if so well done, you must be in the .00000000000001% minority.

Your definition of proper maintenance of paintwork is miles away from mine it seems. You clearly don't polish and wax your car, because it's covered in marks and scratches that my cars have never suffered from when I have owned cars of that age. So much for the door handle protectors, there are marks all over your doors above the handles from the photos you posted.
The paint is very dull and non reflective, which says plenty to me who knows that you haven't really invested any real time in paintwork maintenance, so meh. You don't need handle protectors to save a few square inches, you need better care and maintenance my good fellow.

Hi
I live in a very rural area my car is 4x4 the roads are mainly single track roads for 2 mile radius from
home.
This does mean pulling over and catching brambles etc also my driveway in over 250 metres and its difficult to keep overhanging brambles, bracken branches etc cut back and maintained.
I do look after my car, not as much as I'd like to, it is a project to wax the scratches out, this product will motivate me.
But my quote re wear and tear from wikipedia still stands. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wear_and_tear
I also live above the 'snow line' and my car is never garaged, nothing wax wont sort out though it will look like new soon will post pics!
Cheers
