Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.

Not me. 4K can kiss my **** as far as I'm concerned. No way I'm getting a 4K TV when I have over 50 3D films that would be unplayable if I "upgrade" to this unwanted format.

Awesome deal. Many thanks OP.

You seen San Andreas?
Mad Max I really liked.
San Andreas ..... I thought was total drivel. I went to see it in IMAX suspecting the effects would be the best part about it (they were) but even that couldn't save it.
Thought Edge of Tomorrow was better myself. Total fluff and nonsense of course. But at least it was good fun. And I'm a total Tom Cruise anti-fan. He's sooooooo annoying.

No, I've not seen it... I'm a bit worried now. I bought it more for the 3D side of things. Plus I've got pretty much everything else off the list.
Plus Carla Gugino is in it, so that has to be a plus point... right...?

is 3d still a thing? I thought people had move on to 4k as the new fad

3d has had a somewhat unfair bad press. Some 3d films are amazing, particularly Titanic 3d. Top Gun 3d also has a marvellous sense of depth.

Action movies have to be seen in 3D.

San Andreas was great, saw it twice, ignore the haters!

Haters? That's a rather childish term for someone who simply has a low opinion of a movie and perhaps for good reason. Why should anyone believe you anymore for saying it's great than someone saying it's not.
And vice versa. Listen to both positive and negative. Only way you can make an informed choice.

Enjoy the eye candy. And the effects, which are decent in places. (But didn't do enough to save it for me)
But keep your expectations low for the film as a whole. Think 2012 but nowhere near as good ....... sorry.

I just bought Imax Huble 3D and Mad Furiosa.......I mean Max. Can't wait. Good find.
I'm waiting for the Black Friday deals to see if there are any good deals on last years Samsung 3D 9000 series. It looks like there are no Sammy 3D TV's for 2016 :disappointed:

If you mean 1080p, then there are Samsung 3D 1080p TVs out this year: the series 5 and 8. If you meant 4K then of course the medium to top end of the range are pretty much all 3D too as far as I can see.

I watch 3D movies very happily on my Panasonic 50CX802B. My old Samsung 1080p couldn't handle 3D so this is my first 3D telly. People have said that this is one of the best 3D TVs there's been. So, not only do 4K TVs do 3D but they do it better than older 1080p sets.
I've been enjoying 3D for a few months now and have a fair collection of 3D blu-rays bought in sales like this so I'm quite happy that people don't like it because that means the discs end up reasonably priced eventually as in these deals. Haven't paid much more than £8 for anything.

My Panasonic 3D system is about 4 years old now but it's only 42" what people don't realise is that you get the normal 2D disc too. Its a great asset to have especially at Xmas. I've got too many 3D discs I havnt watched yet and my lounge wouldnt accommodate a bigger tv. I'm very happy with my lot. My system was bought through the this site from John Lewis with their unbeatable 5yr warranty.

Sorry! I meant 4k. I cant find any. Got any links? I'm using this as a search - Samsung 4k 3d 2016 uk tv i'm only getting last years models with 3d :disappointed:
I watched my San Andreas 3D tonight and I must say that I thought it was superb. The SFX were incredible. Admittedly, the plot was pretty corny but who expects Agatha Christie from a Hollywood blockbuster? Just goes to show that believing reviews on HotUKDeals is a bad idea.
