An excellent price - no real use for it, though. Got a 256GB Hynix SSD in the M.2 slot on my laptop (and a 2.5" 1TB in the other slot). So nothing to offer me, but a good deal for others if they can use it. heat from me.

This one is only SATA so nowhere close, you have to ask yourself if you really need a PCI-e drive though, in the real world I really doubt there would be that much discernible difference unless you are doing something ridiculously intense with it.

Not in the slightest, these are low end SSD. Not even pcie .
Dumping stock perhaps? , as their new masters (WD) release their own slightly less mediocre SSD's .

i doubt that it has a M.2 slot, they only started to appear last year.
A lot of people make a lot of fuss about some SSDs being faster than others and some M.2 being faster than others. I used to have a regular Samsung SATA SSD and now I have a PCIe M.2 and the difference is not as great as people make out. Maybe it would be for specific tasks but I'd say your average user wouldn't notice any difference.

I assume that was meant sarcastically
I don't think students have ever been LESS liked or respected by the majority in history ! (with good reason)

How are you supposed to hook this up? do all boards come with an m.2 slot?

No, my ironing board is SATA only but it does come with water cooling.
M.2 is mainly for modern laptops and some tablets but more recent higher end desktop boards support it.
