[NOTE: the SIM card deal I found has expired for home delivery, so unless anyone finds anything else suitable, this deal may not really apply any more. ]
So, I spotted this deal on my Nectar homepage for bonus nectar points from 250-2500 on every purchase on a number of partner sites.
The T&Cs specifically state "There is no minimum transaction limit.", so I thought I'd go hunting.
Curry's, one of the partner sites has an EE SIM card for 7p delivered, so I thought I'd chance my arm, as basically that works out as £1.25 (perhaps more on boost coming up) for 7p outlay. And because there are no limits on the number of times you can get the bonus points for a transaction, I figure hitting 'buy' ten times, it's worth a 70p punt for £12.50 in Nectar points.
[EDIT - looks like this has sold out now for home delivery - I'm not sure if that affects whether it qualifies. I guess you could order for collection at store?]
It might be account specific, but I'm not sure, and the website states 28 days for the Nectar points appear, so I may not know for a month if my gambit has paid off. Basically, if you want to give it a go I'm offering no guarantees!!
It's really a no-brainer, we all love shopping online right? Click, tap, swipe and a box of goodies is winging its way to your door... But at Nectar we want to make that experience even sweeter, so how about adding bonus Nectar points of between 250 and 2,500 when you shop online with some of our favourite brands all this week?
You can already collect tons of lovely Nectar points with every online purchase through our 500+ partner brands, but between 20 October - 2 November we're upping this with some huge surprises, perhaps an extra 250 points to top up your balance, maybe 350 for a free coffee in Caffé Nero, or 500 for £5 off loads of great days out including Alton Towers and Madame Tussauds. Just think what you could do with 2,500 points...
We also have an exclusive competition for you to win 100,000 points. It’s easy to enter. For details on how to enter, scroll down the page. Good luck!"
"The Surprise Bonus Points Promotion is available to Nectar customers. The promotion will run from 00:01, 20 October 2016 and will end on 23:59, 02 November 2016 ("Promotion Period"). To receive a reward of between 250 and 2,500 bonus points, customers must shop through the Nectar website with Currys, New Look, AO, Apple, ASOS, Just Eat, Ted Baker, Dunelm, Debenhams or Look Fantastic in the promotion period. There is no minimum transaction limit. To receive bonus points, customers need to (i) Click 'Shop now' with one of the named 10 partners and (ii) Shop as normal with that partner. Every customer who completes a qualifying transaction with any of the named partners in the promotion period will receive bonus points. Please note: Customers will not receive any confirmation of bonus points once they have made their purchase, but will receive their bonus points within 28 days of offer expiry."

I thought it was common knowledge (in the world of Nectar) that a £1 spend = 1 point & anything less doesn't register as a sale.

Well I ordered some ink for delivery online and then a separate order for collection. If all works out then I should get the ink cartridges for at least 41p on condition that I get the nectar points back worth at least £2.50 . Wait and see

It doesn't in terms of generating a Nectar point event, but the chances are very likely that the tracking link will report back a 'sale' to Nectar when it's completed, even if the consumer never sees the record. It saves them having to build conditions into the script, they can just filter it from the database once it reaches Nectar. The value of things like Nectar to the companies involved is the insight into buying behaviour; they're so data hungry I'd imagine they voraciously collect everything they can, including small payments under a quid. Plus, as johnthehuman mentioned, it does specifically state it in the T&Cs.
Anyway, this is all supposition. Like I say in the text above, it's a punt! I've got three sim cards on the way. If it works out, it's a few beers for 21p. If it doesn't, I'm only down 21p.

Noticed this too, specifically the "There is no minimum transaction limit.", but I'm skeptical they'll actually honour it so I didn't bother searching for low value items

I've never received bonus points when the transaction is under £1 (for under £1 nectar never get notified that you shop there).
Happy to be proven wrong.

Yeah, I wondered about that, which is why I checked the T&Cs. I guess I'll find out! I might get laughed out of town if I put in a request for 500 nectar points for two 7p orders.
The SIM card looks like it might be out of stock for delivery now, anyway, so I might have another half-hearted look around later...
