For those of you, like me, who missed out on the 'Great PS4 Price Slash' recently but are still interested in a good deal on a new PS4 then this looks like the best around at the moment.
£219 for the new slim ps4 500gb with fifa 17.
£239 bundle offer plus £20 off with code "SCSEXTNSP" see comments below on how to get the code to work.

I cancelled my 1TB order from Tescos and ordered this the other day, it arrived day but as they didn't have FIFA in stock they just took it off the order (no notification or anything about the missing game). As a result the price of the console shot up to £259.99 as it was no longer the bundle offer price. I called them up and the customer service agent tried to fob me off by just giving me a £20 credit voucher for this missing game (she didn't even take into account that the price of the console was now £20 more expensive). I argued until she spoke to the manager of the store who agreed on issuing me a £60 credit for use on their online grocery store. She had the cheek to say that I was already getting a good deal with the £20 off.

It's a funny thing really, but it's also well worth looking for new consoles on Gumtree at the moment. There's a lot of people selling (or trying to sell) what they picked up cheap during the sale last week. Many sellers have since reduced their asking prices down to £175 now, for a factory sealed C chassis, I've also seen new Lego Star Wars bundles for the same price. Could be worth a quick look to see if you have any good deals in your area.

Doubt you'd get it cheaper for black friday... great deal for the newest PS4 console plus FIFA 17 (that came out recently as well)

How did you get the FIFA17 part to show up?
EDIT: As a number of people mentioned above, FIFA17 will only pop up after a certain delivery date. For me, that was Sunday 9th. Once I chose a Sunday 9th slot, FIFA popped up and the total went to £239. On checkout, I added code SCSEXTNSP and the total went to £219. £3 delivery for Sunday evening = £222 total.
FIFA 17 is trading for £36 voucher or £32 cash at CEX so final total is hopefully £190.
Not too bad for a new model!

That's the modern HUD for you. If your deal goes cold, its not necessarily a bad one to begin with. Might have already been posted up or its down to the time of the day you post it/people jumping on the bandwagon. I stopped bothering to post as it took ages to do it, most of the time the deal was already posted or because I got a wave of stone cold votes the minute it went out.

Be careful with this one guys, I took the same deal but with the £18 voucher code and went to collect it Monday 3rd and they told me they have the console but not the game and that it was being delivered Tuesday. Went there the next day and they told me that the delivery hasn't come in and that they've had this 'problem' with FIFA 17 since launch where orders are not being honoured. I had a rant with the store manager and he agreed to give me a further discount (unknown amount) when I do actually collect it, although when this will be, I really don't know. Stay away from Sainsburys unless you're happy to travel to store and pester them

A warning to everyone -
I ordered this offer last Saturday when it first appeared on offer.
There were no out of stock notifications etc and my order went through fine. I had my order scheduled for delivery on Monday 4th.
The delivery did not show up, and I had no contact from Sainsburys by the Tuesday
From here I e-mailed customer support, and had no reply after around 36 hours.
So I got the live chat going on the Wednesday evening. I was told that my order was cancelled and there had been an attempt to contact me (there hadn't they had my mobile number and e-mail and I had nothing in either). The reason for the cancellation was no stock.
They then stated that there was stock when I ordered but there isn't anymore - they didn't reserve the order they just sold it in store first between the Saturday and the Monday delivery time, this is what they told me!.
Then I asked when they could supply it, they said more stock would be available on Friday but I was welcome to try and re-order the console but it was subject to availability.
This offer remained on the site to purchase during this entire event, I then noticed this new thread on here.
So - basically - no console, and no effort to try and resolve the issue.
Disgusted with Sainsburys and I won't be purchasing anything from them in the future.

Well after not playing a computer game for around 10 years, I recently decided I wanted a ps4 to see if it was as fun as back then (I'm now 37, married, two young children blah blah).
So I have a look online to find the cheapest deals only to find out I have just missed out on the £149 deals aggghh.
It's originally meant to be for Christmas (if I can wait that long without opening it), so I was just going to wait for another cheap deal to come along. But to me, this seems like a good deal with it being the slim version and I'm happy.
Lets hope I actually play on it more than once haha. Thanks a lot op

7 Oct 16#116
Hmmm I sense a dodgy deal here. I guess sainsburys pick the stock from your local delivery store - and the probably don't look at it more than 8 hours prior to your delivery. So the whole time your local could be out of stock....
I just went on to add a packet of polos, and noticed that fifa isn't now available for the timeslot I already have booked.
Seems like a crappy system but perhaps in line with how grocery normally works and substitutions. Not holding out much hope but not going to cry a river if it doesn't turn up - as long as they don't charge.
muely
7 Oct 16#117
Just been **** over by Sainsburys.
Online help couldn't tell me my order would be in tomorrow. Tried my local store who said it wouldn't be in. No chance it ever would have been in. Phoned their useless customer help up to ask how they can run such a poor stock control and if I could change items to delivery.
Guy replied, local store has to have stock to deliver and website won't tell you whether they do. Join the 21st century with your online and stock control you ****.
ronaldmacdonald
7 Oct 16#118
Yeah, it's part of the grocery system so it's nothing more than luck if your local has it in store - they could employ some sort of localised stock check though - it's not 1995 any more. Pretty poor, but we all now know - I guess they don't charge until the order is picked so no real loss.

**** useless. **** these people.

Mine turned up Today. Can only assume it depends on local stock, although it wouldn't let me select the products until delivery date aligned with scheduled stock. Hope the others work out.

They clearly don't want our business. I bought from Tesco today and let Sainsburys know as much.

It seems fussy about dates. I put Saturday evening in 7:30 to 8:00 in the evening and hey presto a man sttod there on the doorstep with the goodies.

lol we've both been commenting in thsi thread since the start. You'll see that I DID get my order to work, but no man was stood on my doorstep. No man at all. Man never intended to be on my doorstep. It was all a lie. A horrible lie.

Mine didn't turn up, turns out they cancelled it and didn't have the manners to let me know.

Received mine on time yesterday. I was on backshift and wasn't too confident after hearing some of the stories on here. Then I got the message I had been waiting for from the mrs saying "the eagle has landed"
For the people who didn't receive theirs or they were cancelled, I do hope Sainsburys can get one too you one way or another.

Well I had the opposite issue to everyone else. I now have Fifa 17 at a charge of £22 and no PS4...
When I'm done at work, I'll call them and see if I can sort it all out. Unless I can get on the online chat in that time, which I can't find...

They are just a bunch of thieves. I got the text confirming the delivery for Monday and then it hadn't happened. I called them today and they said I will have to call back on 14th to reserve my item!!!!???? What a big lie! Sainsburys are waste of space!

Apparently mine just arrived at my parents. Trick might be to find a part of the country with only old people, and order it there!
Opening post
£219 for the new slim ps4 500gb with fifa 17.
£239 bundle offer plus £20 off with code "SCSEXTNSP" see comments below on how to get the code to work.

I can't even add the game to my basket as it says its not available
Thanks
@DJP: Read above. :smiley:
Yep, can confirm it works, and actually have found a £20 voucher - SCSEXTNSP
Just ordered!!!!!!
£219 - Slim 500GB PS4 & Fifa
Doubt even Black Friday prices will be anywhere near as good tbh.
They'll just cancel your order without any notice See my comment in the other thread.
gutted
Edit: I was able to do this. Dont know if it's about stock available from the store that will deliver.
It works out around £180 for a brand new PS4 Slim which is a bargain. I literally sold my old PS4 500GB console for £175 about a month ago.
Can even use your nectar card that's on another account.
Can't use nectar vouchers in conjunction mind you. Could have got my PS4 otherwise for £150....
Tried again and it worked! Delivery on the 8th
£219 (+ £6 delivery)
Mine I got for £219 (£187 when Fifa heads to CEX as a trade in) and am collecting Saturday from a local store 8-9am.
Try Monday collection or delivery. Click "missed offer" on the basket and click along to Fifa. Add to basket
That's not bad at all but more games on top of games i haven't played yet.
That would be a fantastic price but this is still pretty good for a slim version. Nice find, shame about the retailer.
Black Friday is always the day after Thanksgiving. In 2016, Black Friday will be on Friday 25th November 2016 . On this day, most major retailers open extremely early, often at midnight or earlier.
I don't think this is even worth buying.
And for some folks, the additional £120 odd is a no go for what is STILL a ps4
That's a poor show if its the case. Presumably they have taken payment or is it just cancelled.
What a joke Sainsburys! Never again!
Went on Amazon Warehouse Deals and got it with a slightly scuffed box for £222-20% = £178
I just went on to add a packet of polos, and noticed that fifa isn't now available for the timeslot I already have booked.
Seems like a crappy system but perhaps in line with how grocery normally works and substitutions. Not holding out much hope but not going to cry a river if it doesn't turn up - as long as they don't charge.
Hopefully some people managed to get the deal.
Or....
1TB PS4 with Mafia 3, Fifa 17 and free controller for £317. Minus £10 = £307. Sell both games = £243
That's my evening sorted.
I rang Saintsbury's before hand and they said they were fulfilling all orders.
Glad you got yours though dude. Enjoy
Did they not give you a revised date when stock available?
