Ensure you join EA Access today with PayPal and get your second month FREE.

To receive your free month of EA Access you must pay with PayPal.

Some might find this worthwhile, especially with BF1 coming up and I believe Mirror's Edge is being added to the vault?

Plus there's a chance to win an Xbox One S too! Ooooooooo

The games have to be installed like the normal games you buy. The standard 500gb console is too small for a decent games collection but luckily the xbox one is easily upgraded with a external 2.5 or 3.5" hdd. Id go for 2tb so you dont have to worry about running out of space again, though it can take even larger capacities (i have a 3tb), but they can get pricey.

I was a beta tester on ps now (game streaming) and believe me you are still far better off with the game installed locally...

Ea access is excellent.
Tons of great games and massive savings on buying each and every one of them.
Bf4 deluxe was worth the price alone.
What are you bleating about Fifa 14 for?
FIFA 16 been on there for months, forget paying £30-40 for 17, just be patient and it'll be available.
Also great to get the 10 hour trials to either blast through a single player mode, get early access and find out if a game is really worth paying for.

Nope. I have a support case raised on the forums to see whats going on. As this is an XBox promotion, EA are not able to help.

Just rechecked Ts and Cs (http://www.xbox.com/en-GB/promotions/ea-access-paypal/terms)

"The Gift: All valid participants will each receive an additional one month’s subscription to EA Access, whilst stocks last. Successful participants will be sent a code via Xbox system messaging to redeem their gift within 28 days of the initial purchase."

They better not try to pull the "stocks ran out" as they continued to run the promotion, which is out of order if the free stuff has already been taken.

Id drop EA Access a tweet, seems to be the quickest way to get a quick answer from companies these days https://twitter.com/EAAccess

I think you were getting cold votes as £19.99 is the standard price for 1 years ea access. This price is available from the dash and has been since ea access started so therefore what you posted was not really a deal.
johnnyd57uk
16 Oct 16 2 #99
Strange, I posted a deal for 1 years EA access for £19.99 on Amazon about a month ago which I thought was a great deal and it had hundreds of negative comments. This is a good deal too but works out a tad more expensive at £24 for equivalent 12 months. You do wonder where people are at sometimes when they are voting hot or cold. Perhaps there are lots of haters out there. Good find LankySi. Have some heat.

You only need that if you're going to use the multiplayer function of the Vault games.

I don't think you understand what this service is. You can still buy EA games from a store like any other game and play it without EA Access. EA Access costs £20 a year and lets you play loads of back catalogue EA games for free, including some of the newer ones. Plus you also get 10 hour free trials of new games as well as 10% off any EA content you buy on the XBOX store. It's an absolute bargain.

14 Oct 16 #79
Most of the games are cack. Who wants to play FIFA 14 now? Sure there are a couple of decent ones there and for someone like me who gets about 4 hours a week to play 18 rated games when kids have gone to bed, it's far more VFM than spunking £50 a game.

However I am glad the Xbox isn't my main platform, I'd feel a complete mug spending £40-£50 on a game and getting easier access instead of origin.
benjammin316
14 Oct 16 #78
yeah, but £3.99 for 2 months is great if you just want to try it out without committing. Plus the second code for the second month comes as a code which can be sold on for £3 effectively giving you a month for less than a quid.

Try out the new Battlefield 1 game, Fifa 17 and all the other games available.

EmperorRosko

Yeah it's a bit stupid of them really because I think a lot more people would jump in if it was £1.99 a month, and then hoping once people had a taste of the free games, they'd want more and either buy another month, or a year. I think many people are put off at 4 quid a month for just a try.

Might be a stupid question, but I've read this thread and can't see it mentioned, but do these games have to be downloaded to the console? Or is it streamed games from a server. It's just I only have the 500gb xb1 and not sure I want to fill it with some of these games, but a streamed offering might be more appealing.

And at different times throughout they year they throw the DLC at you for free as well.

What's worth noting is that EA have confirmed that UFC2, Mirror's Edge Catalyst and Star Wars Battlefront will ALL be in the vault by the end of this year, so that's another major 3 titles to add to the list.

Couple of questions:

1. Presumably I get sent a code which allows me to start the 2 month subscription any time I want - i.e. a month from now if I wish?

2. What is EA Access? What does it give me? Why Would I want or need it to play Battlefield 1? I thought I only needed Xbox Live Gold membership to play games online?

Thanks.

I just subscribed to 1 month for £4 2 days ago just for BF1 access. Should've just waited...
ST3123
13 Oct 16 #42
Just tried to do it myself but unless anyone can confirm otherwise I think it is only for new customers as once you get to the ea access page where you would normally buy it, it has the 1 month option selected but instead of buy underneath it just says "manage" and if I click that it just shows the status of my existing sub, so appears that those on a sub already can't top up an odd month, unless I'm missing something....

EA Access isn't comparable or relatable to Xbox Live Gold. If i'm correct, you don't specifically need XBLive Gold to access EA's service but you'll need this subscription to access EA Access.

EA Access is just games - £20/year you get unlimited access to the games within the vault and what's there along with some other premium benefits.

It's a separate service, not related to XBLive.
BuzzDuraband to tdk2bu

You do need Xbox Live for EA Access to play online (obviously), but at this price or even its RRP of £3.99 a month, it's worth its weight in gold. It currently offers -

Battlefield 4
FIFA 14
Madden NFL 25
Peggle 2
Need for Speed Rivals
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare
EA Sports UFC
NBA Live 15
Madden NFL 15
NHL 15
FIFA 15
Titanfall
Dragon Age: Inquisition
Battlefield Hardline
Madden NFL 16
Plants vs. Zombies
NHL 16
Dead Space
FIFA 16
Rory McIlroy PGA Tour
NBA Live 16
Need for Speed

SSX
Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare 2
Bejeweled 2 Deluxe

Quick summary to answer any questions:

You need to buy the first month of EA Access with PayPal via the offer link.

You'll be able to cancel the subscription from http://commerce.microsoft.com and going to the "subscriptions" section.

The free month of EA Access will be sent to you via a code within 28 days of initial purchase (rather than being automatically applied by PayPal). If you wish to only pay for 1 month, then you would need to cancel before the first month comes to an end.

Offer ends at 23:59 on November 10th.

Everyone who participates in the offer gets put into a raffle to win an Xbox One S console - there's only 1 winner which will be drawn after the offer closes.
