Tried differrent SIMS but non of them worked. Flashed TWRP (bootloader was already unlocked - checked with FLASHER TOOLKIT V1). Updated to MIUI v8 (miui_HMNote3ProGlobal_V8.0.1.0.LHOMIDG_8976c33651_5.1.zip) what bricked the phone. Using fastboot_edl I put it into EDL mode,then used MiFlash to flash new (old ROM kenzo_global_images_V7.3.6.0.LHOMIDD_20160523.0000.23_5.1_global_aef179560d.tgz) same version as phone had originally - just to send it back. Took a while, but now SIM works. Even got the promt to update to v8 which it did and still didn't kill it. Since I got it sorted wife happy with the phone, Seems even smother then my nexus 6 (camera lagging a lot recently).

Yes, checked google first but mostly people are struggling with phone loosing network connectivity. Purchase made on credit card so this option still open. Connected to WiFi but no updates available. There is few ROMs I can try but don't want to mess with phone too much in case I will have to return it. Just trying to find out is there a problem with ROM it got shipped with (which can be sorted) or is it a hardware problem (will raise the case/ send it back).

Phone arrived today, popped SIM in and got "No service". Tried few restarts, searched for network manually but still nothing. When trying to make calls it says "No radio". Anyone else experienced this issue? Will another ROM get this sorted? Currently as shipped with MIUI Global Stable 7.3.6.0.0. Should I mess with other ROMs or raise issue with Banggood / Seller?

i bought mine at the end of february cost 162 quid and that was with a 10% off code and this was the cheapest around at that time i checked all sites you have got the wrong model it certainly is not the redmi note 3 snapdraggon 650 3gb/32gb. For that price i think you got redmi 3 or even a redmi note 2

Really? My kenzo is still on MIUI 8.0.1.0 / Android 5.1.1 with no OTA updates available. Odd.

I'm running the dev global rom on this exact phone and mine updated to marshmallow last night.

Yes I would choose the special version in post above for the extra £15 so messing about, proper global version out of the box and works with 4G and not flashed before sending (unlike this one)

Have been saying to people why get a Xiaomi Note 2 when you can get a better spec 2nd Hand Samsung Note 2 for about the same price? But I now have to eat my words with this Xiaomi Note 3. This is a great phone.

Many Specs are significantly better the 2012 Note 2 - 3Gb Ram vs 2Gb Ram, Similar 5.5inch Display, 8-core SnapDragon vs Quad Core A9, better GPU. Better Battery - 4000mAh vs 3100mAh. 4G vs 3G
The standout is the camera - 16MP 5 element, vs only 8MP on the Note 2.

I personally don't want to lose the ability to take actually take Notes, sign PDF documents etc.. on my phone, which is where my Galaxy Note 2 is still massively better, as it actually takes notes with its pen... and how fast do you really need your phone? But by gum these Xiaomi whippersnappers have made me think twice....

I've had mine since about March, I paid more like £175 and thought that was a bargain. At this price you can't go wrong. I would say after nearly six months, the screen isn't as scratch resistant as I expected, but it's pretty good. I would buy another if I lost this one

Don't these take like ages to arrive when ordered? Something in the region of over three weeks?

I have this phone and love it. The battery is great and easily lasts 2 days with normal use should I forget to charge it overnight.

The international miui ROM is actually quite pretty and fairly slick so I have not yet bothered investigating putting a different Rom on it. The days of having to have the Samsung flagship are well behind me now.

I just wish I could find a tempered glass screen protector that lasts longer than 5 minutes before cracking!

how long does it take to charge n is it type c or micro USB? reason for asking is every micro USB port phone I ever owned had problems with port so considering type c. trying to find out for days that one plus three how long does it take to charge with normal fast charge cable as I'm not planning on paying £26 for a cable

The snapdragon version is an officially supported cyanogenmod device.. and the first thing I would do would be to flash the dodgy firmware. Otherwise this phone is amazing specwise. I had a look at unlooking the bootloader and, although the initial site is in chinese, once you login using your facebook you can choose English, so it shouldnt' be too hard..

Shame it is not International version that supports 4G 800Mhz (B20) band, though can be bought on AliExpress for slightly more price, but again can't be said with confidence they're genuine seller, so always a risk buying from China based supplier.

Edit: There was huge thread here for deal on international version but has disappeared all of a sudden :disappointed:

Got this in the 2gb ram version and been great, updates from the manufacturer happen approx every month so far but kooing at phone settings think they are updates to the miui software whereas android is still on 5.1.1
