This snap deal - it means there are just SIX units available at this price in total, not overall! Even if you do happen to purchase it, they can still cancel the order. I've been involved in one of their flash sales before (similar thing) and this is how it works.

So basically a waste of time then trying to get this deal if there are only 6 units, with half this thread trying to snap them up?
plewis00
8 Sep 16#58
Yes, it's a (not-so-clever) marketing ploy to get you to the site hoping you will be one of the six to then be disappointed and settle for an alternative handset on the website - which to be fair, can happen, as Banggood does have some really interesting stuff if you don't mind waiting.
I speak from experience as I have been 'one of ten' on a much smaller deal (I think it was for a 4-port QC2.0 car charger) that was later cancelled. Remember, you're not just competing with other HUKDers, it's a Global website!

From money saving expert website
" Keep your order below £15 and you shouldn't pay any tax
VAT
The thorn in many China shoppers' bed of roses is the customs charges. This is another reason why AliExpress is best for small, cheap bits. Buy goodies under £15 and you shouldn't pay any VAT, customs or Royal Mail handling charges.
What you pay depends on the item's value, but an easy rule of thumb is that above £15, customs, delivery and VAT charges can add around 30-40% to the list price. So first ensure you know what you'll pay – the pricier the item, the bigger the fees.
20% VAT. Buy goods worth more than £15 online from non-EU e-tailers and you need to pay 20% VAT. This is calculated based on the total package cost, regardless of how many items are in it. It's charged on the full price of the package, not just the value that exceeds the £15 limit.
Customs duty. On top of that, customs duty applies to items shipped from outside the EU if they're above £135 (unless the duty comes to less than £7, when it's waived). The duty rate depends on where they came from.
what happens if you refuse delivery, do you have to pay any fees ?

you don't need to unlock boot loader.
there are 3 ways to put new ROM, system update, via Mi PC suite or flashboot.
Updater app /Mi PC suite doesn't work if the phone has vendor custom ROM.
Use Fastboot method , with miflash tool and global ROM, stable or dev version whichever you like.. I used dev as it is Miui 8, stable is miui 7.5.
all info/downloads available from en.miui.com so authentic ROM. just search for your phone model.

I had to flash china developer rom first so I could unlock bootloader with permission from MIUI, then downloaded latest global stable rom, extracted files to a separate folder and then flashed that file in fastboot mode using Miflash. If I'd known it was going to be so complicated I would have bought one with global rom already installed.
