Price drop, perhaps to make way for the new Mi5s, which is a faster version of this.
Great phone, on par with s7, oneplus 3 (which im not a fan of)
One hell of a phone at this price. All colours same price.
But as its xiaomi, no B20, so check first

Can't believe that it's £229 with next to nil warranty and people still voting hot.
I've got the S7. There's a big difference particularly with video and low light. OIS on the Sammy makes a big difference.

I think a 'world away' is a huge exaggeration. The s7 has the best camera, particularly in low light conditions that captures details that the others won't. But in day light you would struggle to see much difference IMO.

Get an iPhone 7 from your local Apple Store then. It's only £600 for the phone and warranty.
Add another £159 for the white wireless earbuds. They come with a warranty too.

I completely agree. I've had two send for repairs a HTC, Motorola and Wileyfox over last 4 years. I'd have zero confidence in ANY customer service regarding this device. £230 on a phone that has a weird rom, zero warranty..... No thanks

That is all well and true. Samsung and iPhone camera's are very nice. I have the redmi note 3 and although the camera lacks in poor light it is still enough for a casual user like me.
I know pretty much all high end phones don't have sd slots anymore, really does put me off regardless of how big the internal storage is. They just price the phone much higher.
This is also a good deal but with the mi5s coming soon, is it worth the upgrade over the 5?
Picard123 to rapidracer10

I doubt it would be worth the price premium over the Mi5.
It's a nice phone at a nice price but one of the main reasons I say that it doesn't compare to the S7 is the camera. The camera and video functionality on flagship phones eg. S7, G4/5, V20 etc are just a world away from those found on mid range phones like this because that's one area where Xiaomi look to cut costs to bring the phone within a certain pricepoint (though the Sony IMX298 module is still pretty good - noticeably better than the module on the Redmi 3 Note 3). SD20 is also all very well and good, but personally, I'd rather trade the CPU/GPU performance for a better quality camera module and better photo/video optimisation.
If I was looking for a £200 phone, I would seriously consider this though I wish they would incorporate an SD card slot as I often take sports videos over 20gb in size as I tend to crank up the bitrate. I also think mid range phones are in a tricky position in the market. They're not cheap enough to entice the crowd that would buy say a Redmi 3 Note for £125, and whilst they offer some flagship phone features, they don't quite offer all the flagship features that you would get on say a S7, iPhone 7 etc. I still think it's a nice phone though.

I wont deny the s7 being the better phone, but this is not bad, not to mention being half the cost.

(£205 + £0.99 HDMI cable) - 10% ... is still a good price for the phone.
Do they have more stock? Am interested, but don't see this 10% off thing on any current sellers.

I bought one last night for £171 but it was a Chinese seller with distribution in the UK.
It was £190 - 10% when you bought a 99p item.
Expecting it on Wednesday, looking forward to seeing whether it's really far better than a Mediatek octa-core in real world use.
I've been more than happy with Mediatek over the past four years in the various phones I've had and value for money they've been unbeatable.

£215.70 was my subtotal, then I got a 4% off voucher (£8.63) that the person on the live chat gave me after I asked questions about the buying process, then I paid £4.38 for DHL shipping then £1.53 for shipping insurance. DHL charged me £4.52 when the phone left China. I can't remember if this was for export fees or paying import fees early. It was a week from my order that I received the phone.

I voted it hot about 2 weeks ago when I was researching which phone to buy. I think when people are deciding which new Chinese phone to buy they search vendor e.g. Banggood, GearBest and try to get an understanding of how the market has moved on over the last year.
I've made deals hot that were 96° and seen that they've got really hot when they reached hot tab.
I think it's luck a lot of the time in terms of time of day, day of the week, which other phone deals were around at the time etc.
I'd definitely give a shout to the ZUK 2, I was very tempted but I've gone the giant battery, bigger screen route.

This device does have a lot of things going for it but I think it may not work on 4g for all UK networks. I'm sure Alice will respond shortly and give an update, but from what I have read on Trustpilot, this device was bought in huge numbers from Gearbest over the last month or so, only to have their orders cancelled albeit did give 100 GB points ($2) compensation.

There were 93 in stock and by the time I got to the checkout, they sold out. :disappointed:
Still good phone though, I`ve been looking at it for a while now to replace my OnePlus One.
Excellent phone. Beautiful screen. Properly nice camera.
Doesn't allow external SD card though. Also it's Type c usb so you'll probably want some adapters or new chargers.
The MI5 is plastic which makes it really light as well which I prefer, the MI4 was more metal and glass so felt a bit more premium but also heavier.
So a lovely phone and very good value for money. I tend to go for high end phones and play with lots of them and this is still one of my faves.
is this a dual sim? and will it work on all UK networks? thanks
