I just got off the phone with Tesco (surprised their call centre was open till 11pm). Before i got to finish my sentence the chap asked if it was about the Xbox one s pricing and i said yes. He advised that Tesco have now made the decision to refund all orders of £224 with £25 because they know the annoyance of everyone and don't want to be in a position where people keep re-ordering and returning.

There will be an email sent out about this in the next 2 days regarding the refund and it will take about 2 working days to happen. I suggest that you still call them (you have 11 minutes - 0800 323 4050) just to confirm but i'm happy they've take this stance after all the complaints. Hope this helps.

Tried to cancel my order after finding out about the Tesco deal as they couldn't price match but as they couldn't process the refund immediately I kept it (as well as getting a £5 Amazon credit and a month extension to my Prime membership).

Certainly glad I didn't cancel as they seem to have mistakenly sent me the 1Tb version!

Decided to cancel and trade in my regular Xbox One and PS4 to get a Pro. As much as I want a UHD player, I want smoother running games more, plus I doubt I'll start collecting 4k blu ray for a while until the prices come down.

shame it's white, but with my original Xbox One dying and the fact I have £209 worth of vouchers to spend, I can't really complain. Here's some heat.

No guarantee you will get it at all, they (flubit) can cancel at the drop of a hat (I have used them a lot). Still good when it works and £7 off is pretty good as their discount % typically drops as the item value increases, probably because they would have to subsidise a larger amount...

I'd rather pay a bit extra for the better warranty you get with Amazon/Tesco rather than risk it with Flubit/Firework Merchant.

You're absolutely right, MS have done a far better job on limited editions than Sony.

There's loads of people saying the red one won't go with their televisions and other devices erm well the last time I looked I didn't come across any blood red TV's or receivers anyway. To me the whole reason for getting a totally different coloured console is for it to stand out when sat next to your blacks and grey silvers on your AV rig.

Even that dark military green BF1 Xbone S looks rather alright but green is a colour I hate with a passion, I'm in the market for that GoW edition but only at the right price. I believe MediaMarkt or perhaps Saturn are going to be doing a special of that GoW special edition with the blood red Pro controller instead of the regular one for around 50 Euro more, exclusively for the German market.

If you order the NUS card, you will need to wait for NUS to deliver you the card, which then you scan, or take a picture of it, and send that to Amazon manually for them to place your account into a student one.
Only then may you go to the NUS site, and log in, and grab your own unique Amazon NUS code, which you place as a coupon code on Amazon checkout.
Only then will you be able to get a 5% discount on all purchases SOLD by Amazon themselves, not any other seller, just Amazon sold items. And this 5% is only valid until £75 total discounts, or £1500 in spending.

You won't be able to get it in time for day 1 release. But works out well in the long run anyway.

I sold my Xbox One 500gb to CEX for £120, kept my Kinect, will sell fifa17. I do have a 4k hdr tv, so the upgrade to the One S for around £70 is well worth it. Cheapest 4k blu ray player is around £300-£350, so for me its a no brainer and its new hardware with warranty :smiley:

This is for a limited time, not sure it has lapsed yet. Will see on Thursday when we get these consoles. You need your previous console serial as well as the kinect serial plus the new console serial number and the previous console had to be registered to your account.

Went into game yesterday and they would beat cex's trade in price for the xbox one. So long story short they would trade in the xbox one and kinnect for £160 against the price of the new xbox S.

So I suppose if you are going to buy the new FIFA anyways, it's pretty cheap to upgrade, something like...

New xbox one s with FIFA '17 at £249, less £160 trade in price, less trade in of spare controller £15.

So you'd pay about £75 cash for FIFA and an upgraded console.

This would be my first xbox one, moving up from the 360. I think the hype is because it had a UHD player built in. This price is significantly less than a stand alone player, that's why theyre so popular.

I already had a Xbox one, what I was looking for is a smaller quieter and in warranty console, for the cost of £40 to get all this it was worth it for me. No interest in 4K blur ray as I don't have a 4K TV, so mainly the benefit was the hardware refresh and the warranty.

Been some utterly stonking deals on the Xbox One S lately. My pick would be the Argos deal on the 1TB but these Amazon and Tesco deals for the 500GB at £224 are pretty good too. I think at this rate we may just see £200 by Black Friday.

With these kinds of deals going on I bet a lot will be encouraged to upgrade and first time customers too. I think MS could make up some lost ground to Sony with the S and I wouldn't mind if they did as healthly competition is never a bad thing for the customer...
