Grace C 500gb Xbox one, from an ebay seller with 43,000+ feedback.

States it comes with a 6 month warranty.

Not bad if you are after a cheap current gen console.

Ask yourself... how does a console end up in grade C condition?

Freezing cold.

I own both, let me tell you Xbox hasn't slapped anything but itself. It's been heavily outsold by the PS4, IMO The controller is worse, the online service is worse, the community is worse and the gaming is somewhat worse. I will admit though it does have backwards compatibility and EA Access which are very good. As for digital prices they are almost identical.

Worth £140 of anybody's money! Xbox has slapped PlayStation this generation with EA Access, BC games and very cheap digital prices.

£140 for a grade c unit with 6 month guarantee. The controller on this will be discusting and the unit will be scratched up. How has this got so hot when for £50 more you can buy brand new units with a game.

Might not be as bad as you think.

My console has stayed stationary since I bought it, apart from one house move and it's covered in scratches. Besides it's in a tinted windowed TV unit so I can't see it anyway.

The launch console we have in the house is like that. Sat on a shelf in the tv stand for a year and a bit and the scratching on the thing is ridiculous - this is a bargain for a console with a few scratches on though :stuck_out_tongue:

Pay £60 more and get a brand new Xbox One S from Tesco

Won’t get in to an Xbox One vs PS4 argument as I have both an Xbox One S and a PS4.

What I will say is that the Xbox One S controller is amazing. The build quality is fantastic, it is ergonomic, has a 3.5mm headphone jack and you can plug in and play. I have used an Elite Controller as well which is brilliant for games like Rocket League where you can use the paddles to jump etc.

The Xbox user interface and customisation is amazing as well. You can set your own custom background by just copy and pasting from a USB stick. Game management is fantastic as you have a downloaded game library, ready to download library and an app library. You can also pin your favorite games and apps to the home page which prevents you from scrolling through loads of games to find what you want.

I’ve gone all digital on my Xbox and the prices have been great. Just kept an eye out on here and I got Rare Replay for £19.99 (expensive I know), Halo 5 for £22, Gears Ultimate for £9.99 and Halo MCC for £6.66. Also Wuaki always have £25 credit for £18 which means you can get brand new digital releases for slightly less than the physical copies.

With Games with Gold you get 4 games a month (2 backwards compatible 360 games that you keep forever).

If anyone else in the family has an Xbox you can also game share which means you only have to pay 1 Live sub between 2 consoles and you can share all of your games.

Really happy with the month I have had with it and I can’t wait for Gears 4 and Forza Horizon 3.

What's wrong with it? I know it's basic, but I think in some cases less is more. Do I think it could be improved - yes. Not saying it's perfect.

Fanboy? Reel your neck in mate. It's as if you have nothing really useful to add and rather than have a civil conversation, you automatically jump right on the defensive. If anyone is blinded by brand loyalty it's you. So much so you feel the need to come out with petty insults that are the staple of young kids. Just because i happen to have a differing opinion to yourself, doesn't make you right and by the same token doesn't mean my opinion is correct. But don't let that stop you on your one man crusade to defend your favorite electronic branded console. I often wonder if you people get so defensive over your toaster.

As for the UI, the PS4's is a lot simpler, a lot less cluttered and as such things are easier to find. It wasn't so long ago that MS actually had to move the 'redeem a code' feature because so many people complained too many things were hidden or placed in random spots. Great if you had Kinect, **** if you never. I await your next words of wisdom or maybe not as the case maybe. This is where my conversation with you ends.

I have a ps4 and xbox one, unless you have them set up side by side you can not tell the difference. Xbox has a better UI than PS, they both have amazing exclusives. Fan boys like yourself are a joke, only reason PS won this generation is because of the price difference on consoles at launch. I love my playstation and xbox and they certainly both have their pros and cons. You want to say your platform is more powerful and better? Build a PC.
Dr_Bawbag

Some of that is very subjective indeed. I prefer my PS4 hands down compared to the Xbox, however, the online service isn't better on PS4 in my experience. Albeit, there seems to be more issues this time around on LIVE than there was during my entire time on LIVE using my 360 last gen. I still prefer the Xbox controller and the wifi out the box on the PS4 is shockingly bad - in keeping with most other Sony devices that use wifi cards. Good luck to anyone that decides to use the wifi without using homeplugs. I've met my fair share of idiots on both services. More so on PSN which is fair enough as there's a larger player base this time around, so that's to be expected.

The down sides to the xbox are a) the time it takes to boot up the xbox from an off position. It's incredibly slow. Fast if you boot it up from the standby mode. b) cluttered UI. Many things are still hidden away out of sight and are a chore to find and c) games don't generally run as well as they do on the PS4.

I own both the Xbox one and PS4. I'll leave the relative merits to others but cannot agree with your comment about the Xbox controller. It is comfortable and intuitive, the offset sticks are ideal. The DS4 is the opposite and too small for my hands. I'll never forget playing on my old PS3 with my hands awkwardly wrapped around the controller just to aim down sight in cover while playing Resistance fall of man ..A simple click on the left thumbstick does this on Xbox.

5 Sep 16 #29
I bought a used 360 off a mate a few years back, still in the bag he gave me it, I just can't get on with the offset joysticks. I'm sure your right that after a while anyone would get used to either, just being a PC gamer as well I don't have room for it in my life so not willing to put the time in. We play mario a fair bit too so xbox definately at the bottom of the list for me. Different strokes for different folks. I do like the xbox integration with Windows, that could sway me next console generation but going back to the controller, the DS4 is a MASSIVE improvement on the DS3 - love it.

Yes it is refurb and not great condition but with that extra money you could get a new controller + a couple of preowned games.

Cheapest xbox one I have seen in any condition.

Keep this for a year and you can probably still sell yourself for around £100.

Interesting hearing from someone who owns both. I've personally always been of the impression the xbox is for the "kidz", and the PS4 is for the more mature gamers, being in my 30's starting out on an atari 2600, I'd class myself in that group! If true then the community aspect would be improved. Anyway - good to know that the prices are similar. I considered this deal for the new tomb raider which isn't out on ps4 until december, the missus loves TR.

Abused console doesn't make a deal in my view regardless of price / cheapness.

Games on Xbox 360 consistently dominated PS3 prices and Sony have responded. At the start of PS4 they didn't do so well but after a year they had a good run where prices appeared fairly competitive across the whole distribution process.
I'd argue things have shifted back to Xbox and MS are making that effort. Good examples are extensions to Games with Gold offerings, ludicrously cheap offers across International borders (a loophole they haven't plugged yet) and general promotion of free items such as free DLC. I
Then we have Turkeys favourite, games. And he should know which games come up cheap!
On Xbox there are just so many different retailers selling keys, there are two Assassins Creed games that regularly sell for less than £2. I paid £10 for Titanfall 8 months after it came out. Also EA access suits those who don't despise EA
Plus Gold is better than PS plus and costs less.

I personally want a PS4, for the game options. But I am not unhappy with choosing an Xbox One because they're much the same (tho I prefer the controller) and I personally feel my Xbox offers me best value.

I play my wii u more than my xbox. The best bit about the xbox is the analogue sticks which are much nicer than ps4.
On ea access and BC well I'm not much of a sports game fan and ive completed all the stuff I wanted to that BC.... Not knocking what it offers but ps4 has been 100 times better than anything for me this gen so far.

Heat for the price of this though.

Kids have a 360 I've got a One the online experience of the One Number ones all over the 360, the 360 experience is awful in comparison I hate having to do anything on their 360.

The xbox one Controller is touted as the best console controller AFAIK.

Digital prices in general are a rip off across both markets but xbox apparently has much better deals, I've bought some cracking titles for under a fiver plus minimum THREE free games every month now on top of another half dozen or so special offers for Gold too every month.

Can't deny the sales figures but just because something is popular doesn't make it superior after all the technically inferior VHS beat betamax lol.

Anyway each to their own...

This is FREEZING COLD why is anyone voting hot, scrappy bashed console with a paltry 6 month warranty when they retail at peanuts more I'll wager retail will hit this price by Christmas
