Not sure who shop4world.com are, but hopefully they will honour price and get it out to me at a reasonable time. Was hoping for Hitari as they have always been good.

I had a brief go at the Beta and I think I was equally as bad as you by the sounds. But I was exactly the same in the early days of BF4 but got better (despite me being gash at FPS games). As for buying into extra maps etc, honestly I never bought any on BF4, I was always more than happy with the standard maps. Besides, there were numerous times I saw the Premium pass for under £20, so add that to the initial £35/£40 spend and even then it still works out good value over a 3 year period for a game. Never played Hardline though but heard the single player was pretty good fun.

Not sure how you got on. But only played the demo an hour and didnt really get on with it.
Maybe cos every step i took I got killed or maybe I just didnt like the theme.
I bought BF4 and the Police one in a package for just less than 8 quid a month or so a go so will just use that for a quick shooting fix.
Decided (contrivertial I know) that Destiny expansion will be my shooter, Fifa 17 my sports game and Final Fantasy 15 my story game. Should keep me busy over next 6 months or so.
Think I will give battlefield a miss this time. Especially knowing that essentially you are buying into more map packs, so atound a £100+ investment over a 12month period.

Sorry, no I didn't see your earlier post, so apologies. I do now understand your point much more. However, I still think games like Battlefield are excellent value for money. 20 Sep 16#104
I don't think you read my previous comment. The market for sales is much larger now. It has a bigger range than Hollywood and the music industry in some cases.
Virtua Racing had higher production and manufacturing costs (some of the tech required to run the game was on the cartridge itself) and it's sales projections probably wouldn't have even reached 1% of those from a project like Forza Horizon 3.
If Battlefield 1 represents value to you at 40 quid then that's fair enough but I don't agree with you.

crazygoog
20 Sep 16#101
I'm really not sure where your logic comes from? Not trying to start an argument, but I just simply don't understand?
I think most games tend to be very good value. In my opinion PES 2017 and Battlefield 1 will give me a full years enjoyment for a cumulative £65. I don't know many things in life that could entertain for 12 months for the same figure. There's a lot of hard work goes into making these games, there are big teams working on them, if they were to become somewhat cheaper what sort of precedent does that set? I agree there are some really shoddy developers too who release games that are far less stellar than they should be, and these rightly fall in price fast.
Hell, I remember Virtua Racing costing around £70 on the Mega Drive!!!

Heads up, not sure if anybody has posted this already but it looks like Flubit are using Video Game Box as their supplier in this case and they're a firm with a slightly questionable reputation. Flubit also don't take PayPal anymore so definitely use a credit card if you can.
They are also selling far more than they used to. This isn't like back in the day when you had to release Street Fighter 2 or Tekken at above 50 quid in order to see a good investment return because the audience size was limited. Most AAA games now generate far more profit then Hollywood movies and the likes of CoD, Fifa, Madden, Battlefield etc generate the kind of money that the movie makers could only ever dream of.
Let's also not forget that when you bought a game 10 years ago you got that game whereas most current gen games are essentially barebones products that are designed as a basis to generate further revenue on DLC, season passes, IGC, endorsed hardware/peripherals etc.

Quite good when you account for inflation from prices of games in the past. Game development costs have increased with every gen as games get larger in memory size, considering this games should be closer to around the £50-60 mark. This is partly why developers like to slap on DLC on top of the standard game price to try to cover the costs (but some are guilty of deliberately cutting parts of a game out to sell as DLC later).

Nothing is wrong with UbiSoft but The Crew is bloody AWFUL. No wonder they ended up having to give it away. I must admit it has unique features in a racing game produced in the past couple of years though - that unique ability to drive head long into a small truck at about 108mph and the truck goes flying and nothing at all happens to your car and you carry on driving as if you'd just run over a hedgehog. Well, I want it for the reason that it has a singly player campaign as well as the fact that it's been built from the ground up as a current gen game. No more cross platform development = Infinitely nicer graphics.
On the plus side, and if EA don't delay the game, I expect to see TF2 being quite cheap around Black Friday...

I can see Titanfall flopping on ps4 somehow... I like it on xb1 not sure enough new ideas though

Yeah... which is why I voted the deal as being hot.
It's crazy how Titanfall 2 and Battlefield 1 are coming out within a week of each other. One of them is surely being sent out to die. A pity really, as I want Titanfall 2 the most of the "holy trinity" of shooters this year...

Dead Rising 4 was £29.60 and that is also through The Game Collection.
Today again requested now up to £33.22 - is this typical?
A quick google pulls up some good reviews but has anyone here used them?
Not sure who shop4world.com are, but hopefully they will honour price and get it out to me at a reasonable time. Was hoping for Hitari as they have always been good.
£31.99 should mean I can own for around 6-8months and still get decent trade in at CEX.
Cheers for the heat guys!
edit: Mmm maybe it is only digital copy, that sucks.
In your case, it seems like you want to justify nicking stuff. I would probably recommend posting your comments on /r/crackstatus rather than this forum.
If you haven't ordered loads of games in past your account will be flagged as compromised, get suspended and all orders canceled.
From flubit. Anyone any ideas ?
Which ever post I go on, your there givinh great advice or pointing people in the right direction.
It's either your companies code name, your a duplicated cyborg or.........a very busy person.
Keep up the good work, indirectly helped my decisions over the past few years, more than you realise. Thanks for the great input to the site....
....Amen!

Let's also not forget that when you bought a game 10 years ago you got that game whereas most current gen games are essentially barebones products that are designed as a basis to generate further revenue on DLC, season passes, IGC, endorsed hardware/peripherals etc.
Hotukdeals makes bakers of us all :-)
Theres enough in there so should be good for the preorder. Using Flubit for a few games, but dont want to order too many.
Just ended up buying a breadmaker with this site. Its contagious.....come on looking at Fifa 17 for the PS4 and end up walking out with a Bread Maker.....how did that happen!!
This sounds really good as I will onow £37 is the max I will pay. Hopefully can get for less. But thats one game I dont mind paying the dollar for. Should/hopefully be worth the wait and the money!
Trade it in if necessary or just wait 6 months and get it for £20 or in Battleborn case wait 2-3months and get for £10 :-)
Wait 12-15 months and it may appear on GwG
Depends on each game surely?
Fifa 17 £32.56
Final Fantasy 15 £33.94
Think I will spin the Flubit wheel again. Hoping to get Fifa closer to the 30 mark. (Not sure why I get it every year cos most fristrating game to lose on online)
Flubit just aren't worth bothering with IMHO and certainly don't bank on them to produce the goods if you really want any if these games.
Flubit Prices for me:
WWE 2k17 - £33.22
FIFA 17 - £31.61
Watch Dogs 2 - £33.54
COD: Infinite Warfare - Rejected as its the 'lowest offer'... noticed its now unavailable on Amazon, which is probably why.
version available to me was the one with the badges and the DLC so i dont know how people are getting discounts on COD? flubit take money upfront dont they regardless of pre-order or not. disappointed
It won't though!
Pre ordered all I wanted in case this is the lowest price for release day, will cancel if a better deal arrives
Mad year for big releases though! cannot remember a fatter autumn release schedule
Edit - Also remembered I already had that TheGameCollection £38 Battlefield 1 preorder. Instantly sent a cancellation email and now preordered on Amazon (who from my personal experience have always delivered on time (hopefully they deliver a couple of days before so I join those early enlisters on the battlefield ))
might be a flubit elite member
